Need to report quiz attempts across multiple archived enrollments (not available in custom reports)

HI ​@Cynthia we have been asking for this since archiving was launched. All details on training objects including tests, surveys, SCORM, etc. are no longer accessible once the enrolment record is archived. This is a huge issue and we have no way to know where that data went nor can we extract it. If you must use archiving between attempts I recommend you pull a test report (from the reports tab on the course) before you archive and maintain that somewhere in case it’s needed. Until Docebo finds. way to maintain that data, we have opted to choose other methods like assigning another course that contains a make-up exam that, when passed, marks the original as passed yet maintains data for all attempts on both courses. Not ideal and we don't use it for all courses but very much needed for things like compliance tests.

​@Cynthia - hey - I know this is less than ideal - but the gradebook concept (Q/A responses) is something that I can show you regardless if you are in an archived course or not - IF you are open to working with SCORM courses.

We use an authoring tool that slaps a learning record store that records all of it. Potentially, it can work for you here.

I originally chose to go with archived enrollments as a way to preserve completion data while allowing learners to retake the quiz — without resetting their progress on the course content. However, as you confirmed, archived enrollments unfortunately result in the loss of some key data, particularly the number of quiz attempts, which is essential for my client.

So, I’ve decided to take a different approach and no longer rely on archived enrollments.

Instead, I’m going to add a make-up quiz directly within the same e-learning course. This quiz will be locked behind a prerequisite, which will be another quiz with a fill-in-the-blank question acting as a password gate. The password will be shared by the instructor during a follow-up conversation with the learner.

This solution allows us to:

• Keep all data from the initial attempt,

• Track multiple attempts within the same course,

• Avoid the limitations of enrollment archiving, without overcomplicating the learner’s experience.

​@Cynthia make sure you make both test objects the “end object marker” so if they pass on the first try, the course is marked and completed but if they do not pass that test will show as failed and the course will remain in progress, You will need to also make the make-up quiz an end object marker so that when it’ it’s passed, the course will be marked as completed.
