Our organization is attempting to use the New Reports tool to create a nightly report on ILT Session attendance, showing data from only that date.

I attempted to create this by using the Session Options → Session Start Date and End Date filters, setting the start date to 1 day ago and the end date to 0 days ago. This produced no results, so I changed it to 2 days ago and 0 days ago.

This appeared to work at first, but I quickly realized it was not picking up data from sessions that began after 11am. I wonder if this is caused by some issue with how the system handles dates and times. I made sure it wasn’t a time zone issue, at least on our end - our zone is properly set in settings to Pacific time. Has anyone else experienced strange results with these filters? It is unfortunate I can’t report on anything past 11am on the same day.

In addition, I’d like to make a suggestion to let you filter by session relative dates in the future. Currently, it only supports “X days ago”, not “X days from now.” This strongly limits what we can accomplish with this sort of report.

We’re having a similar issue. We have a report that runs on Monday mornings that tells us all the events this week and next week. We discovered that none of the events of a particular class are showing and my best guess is that the session started last week and the events span multiple weeks, so the report is only showing sessions from the immediate past and future, but not the events in the sessions that have started.

This is very frustrating for the logistics for managers trying to plan team work about who is where when.

If I’ve not coded it correctly or someone else has figured out a way to do something like this, I appreciate the help.

This is also a huge inconvenience for us. Managers would like an automatic report of who is enrolled in the next month’s session of a specific course. Since the filter for Session End Date only allows for “days ago” and not days in the future, the only way I can do this is to manually select the session and send it out.
