There is a notification for “User failed ILT Session.”  Does anyone know if this can be used if the user is marked “Absent” for courses where completion is based on Attendance?  I don’t see how to “fail” a user.  If this is triggered by marking “Absent,” can we update the documentation to be more accurate?  It is confusing.

This can only be sent when the tracking type “evaluation” is being used and the user is marked as “failed”.

@lrnlab Bummer.   So we don’t have a notification when learner is marked absent?  :(

This is a great question @hwolfehall.

We’ve intentionally maximised automation by marking the event as “attended” when a user joins the webinar. This automatically records a completion status at the course level, and reflects in the attendance status of the event.

However, we need a way to notify users who did not attend that follow-up is required. Ideally, this would be a notification that is sent to the user’s DM.

Currently, I don’t see an option to trigger this notification, since the system doesn’t evaluate attendance as a Pass/Fail outcome. I’d prefer not to have our team manually evaluate attendance for every vILT session.

Can anyone see another viable notification method that could work here?

@hwolfehall  - I would exercise caution when trying to leverage any ILT notifications. We recently tested the “User has passed an ILT session” notification event, only to find that, because ILT sessions only track Present/Absent/Not set, there’s no way for an admin to ever generate/configure a “Pass” outcome.  It appears that the “User has passed an ILT session” event is a legacy notification type that no longer aligns with ILT session attendance in Docebo. It’s simply not useful for most current workflows.

Docebo REALLY need to get their house in order with notification event triggers. We’ve had A LOT of issues with them. Not good when the majority of your user base is external paying subscribers (!)

Thanks for the heads up here @hwolfehall, it’s greatly appreciated and yes agree … more work on notification event triggers is required to support our comms within our org.
