I’m attempting to use the "Overdue Rate" and "Overdue by Status" on an Insights dashboard for the first time, and I don’t understand what I’m looking at.

Here’s an example course, where we have a due date of 2/28

There are 6 users as of now that either completed the training after 2/28, or haven’t completed it yet.

When I filter this Insights dashboard on just that course, you can see Overdue by Status as well as Overdue rate do not produce any data.

What are these supposed to do? If it’s not looking at the validity period, what is it looking at?

Hello! This is a great question. We are a struggling to understand this too! Especially the overdue rate because where we have a course where 5 out of 181 have been overdue it pulls an overdue rate of 45.5%. It does not add up.

Hi Sophie! I ended up doing a support ticket for this. The conclusion was that those number simply don’t do what I would assume them to do. I can’t remember what they actually do because whatever the answer was made those fields useless for us. We ended the ticket with the rep going to update the KB article, but I didn’t check back to the article to see if that happened either. Hopefully that saves you some time of going down the same rabbit holes I did. Good luck!

@ktbadham the only thing I can think of is if this is a result of the soft verse hard deadline. With that said, its not adding up for me as I have been able to execute this report with the soft deadline feature on.

I do see you only have one filter active. Maybe adding users to the filter options may help to pull the proper data report?

@emily.mccarthy I agree I think it is a soft vs hard deadline issue. In my example I have multiple filters and it still isn’t adding up where the Overdue rate comes from and also how it is classing things as overdue.
