Thank you to everyone who attended our July 2026 Product Release Series webinar on What’s New in Docebo. If you missed it, you can catch it here on demand.
We received a lot of great questions during the live event. Here are the ones we couldn’t answer live. To make things easier, we’ve grouped the questions by topic and included a table of contents for quick reference.
Certifications & Retraining
| When will the Certifications Update be available to all "normal customers" outside of Beta in Sandbox and when in Productive System? | The new Certifications & Retraining experience enters public beta on July 22, 2026 and can be activated by Super Admins via Launchpad in their environment. It remains in beta through September 25, 2026, with general availability planned for October 28, 2026. No beta agreement is required, because this is a public beta open to all customers. |
|---|---|
| Is there a knowledge base (KB) article that details each change coming with the new certification upgrade? Will there be a merging feature, similar to legacy reports, that will move the old certifications onto the new workflow? | Yes. Supporting information will be available in the Public Beta: Certifications & Retraining community group, and related Knowledge Base documentation is planned alongside the beta launch. On migration: existing certifications will coexist with the new experience for now. Docebo plans to provide a dedicated migration feature in 2027, and more detailed migration guidance will be shared with the October 2026 GA release. There is not yet a finalized forced migration deadline. |
| Will the retraining upgrade affect any existing certification renewal periods per user? | No. Your existing certifications and renewal periods will continue to work as they do today. The new workflow applies only to certifications created in the new Certifications & Retraining framework. |
| Will the retraining upgrade resolve the issue of users completing courses again rather than selecting renew certification to receive credit? | It is designed to improve this. In the new experience, certifications become a dedicated entity with clearer renewal logic and a more explicit learner journey. Supported retraining paths include manual admin action, automatic retraining periods, and learner self-service renewal where enabled, which should make the renewal path much clearer than today. |
| Anything planned for external training notifications? For the admins who need to approve and the users. | At this time, there is no native notification event specifically for external training approval or rejection for either learners or admins/power users. Today, learners can check submission status in My Activities > External Training, and eligible admins can review pending items in External Training Management. If you need learner notifications after approval, possible workarounds include using the “Certification has been issued” notification when approval results in a certification, or the standard “Send an external notification” option depending on your process. |
AI Roleplay
| Will there be mass reporting capabilities built into the roleplay tool where admins are able to access all feedback/scores from a particular scenario? | Not yet in this release as a full reporting experience, but it is planned. Today, reviewers can review submitted attempts, and broader reporting and dashboard capabilities are on the roadmap for upcoming releases. |
|---|---|
| Can that review information be transferred out to a report so that a manager can view their entire team at once? | Not as a manager team report in this release. With this release, reviewers can see learner submissions in a list view and filter by scenario or user. Broader reporting and dashboard views for more holistic insights are planned for upcoming releases. |
Content Marketplace
| Will LinkedIn Learning be included in the content marketplace updates? Is Harmony not able to currently look through imported courses for content answers? | LinkedIn Learning is not part of this Content Marketplace update. This July release focuses on the rebuilt Go1-based Content Marketplace experience, with Go1 as the first partner live in the new interface. Additional partners may follow over time, but LinkedIn Learning is not included in this release. |
|---|---|
| In the conent marketplace, will we be able to find out what the criteria completion is for the course. We require 80% or higher so we would like to know if this is a filter in content marketplace. | Not in this release. You will be able to identify whether a course includes an exam, but the Content Marketplace does not currently surface a required completion percentage such as 80%, nor offer a filter for that. The team is aware of the need and may address it in a future iteration. |
| Will the new content marketplace interface provide guidance on when imported content expires or needs to be updated? | Not as a dedicated filter in the new Content Marketplace admin experience for this release. However, content status is shown on the content card and the course details page, including retirement context where available. You can also continue to identify expiring or expired imported Go1 content through the LMS where applicable, and the MCP-powered curation workflow is designed to help surface retiring content and suggested replacements conversationally. |
Integrations - MCP Server
| How can we leverage the MCPs? How do we set-it up? And what does having these MCPs mean? What can be automated? | MCP is an open standard that connects Docebo to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Gemini Enterprise, so learners and admins can interact with Docebo data in natural language from the tools they already use. Setup typically involves a Docebo Super Admin configuring OAuth once, an AI assistant admin connecting the MCP server in the target platform, and end users authenticating on first use. In this July release, MCP expands beyond learner use cases to include admin tools such as enrollments, courses and learning plans, and Go1 content curation To get started you can review documentation in our Knowledge Base as well as in our Developer Portal: |
|---|---|
| You mentioned the MCP Configurator and Admin Tools for Admins - is this something that can be made available to specific Power Users or all Power Users? Our use case is that the majority of our population who are looking for this type of data are people managers and they are power users, not admins in the system. | In this release, the admin MCP tools are available only to Super Admins. They are not currently available to Power Users. Manager-focused tools are planned for a future release, including capabilities such as retrieving enrollments for team members. |
| Are you able to only allow specific users to access the admin functionality provided by an MCP server on an AI tool? | Yes. Access can be limited to specific users or groups based on the administration and permission controls available in the AI assistant platform you are using. In addition, the Docebo MCP Server enforces Docebo user-level permissions, so users can access only the data and actions they are already authorized to use in Docebo. |
| With MCP, does the functionality work from production API currently? Is there any reported connection issues with SSO users? | Yes. The Docebo MCP Server uses production APIs. For SSO: there is a known OAuth limitation today around automatic redirect to the organization’s SSO login page. Internal release planning indicates this is being addressed with the new OAuth flow, which is expected to support automatic SSO redirection. For customers using production, enablement may be staged while compatibility validation is completed. |
| Regards to the MCP Configuration: is there a way to preview or is there a way to 'Confirm' the action you request it to do or does it do it automatically? For example, if i use it to change a course description, can I view this and then confirm before it happens or when I type in my prompt will it be instant? | Yes—depending on the AI assistant platform. On the Docebo side, tools can be designated as write actions, and many AI assistant platforms can require explicit user confirmation before executing those actions. So for something like updating a course description, the action can be presented for confirmation rather than happening instantly. |
| What is the main differences between MCP admin tools and Harmony for admins? | The main difference is where the experience happens. MCP admin tools let admins take Docebo actions from external AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Gemini. Harmony for admins brings similar capabilities inside Docebo. Over time, the same core admin actions are planned to be available in both, so customers can choose whether they want to work inside the platform or through the external AI assistant that best fits their workflow. |
Integrations - Microsoft Teams
| Will Teams integration help map more than UPN for Docebo for teams? | Yes. Microsoft Teams user mapping lets admins match Teams users to existing Docebo users using a supported identifier other than UPN—for example, email, employee ID, or another unique field. The values must match exactly. |
|---|---|
| Does this integration for MS eams extend to their VILT tool? | No. This update applies to the Docebo for Microsoft Teams app, not to the separate Microsoft Teams VILT integration. Your existing VILT setup remains separate and unchanged. |
| Will MS Teams user mapping allow us to put course deadlines to their teams calendar? | Not through User Mapping itself. This July 2026 release focuses on matching users between Teams and Docebo. Learners can, however, export their Docebo calendar, including course deadlines, to Outlook or another calendar app. |
| How does the learner's organizational Teams settings impact the use of this integration? | Your Microsoft Teams and Entra ID settings mainly affect the initial configuration. A Microsoft admin must approve the connection, and the fields available for mapping depend on what is populated in your tenant. Once configured, the experience should be transparent for learners and does not change their existing Teams settings or user data. |
| Regarding the teams integration - does the full homepage that the user sees on desktop pull through? | Not as a direct copy of the full Docebo desktop homepage. In Teams, users see a dedicated training dashboard built from supported widgets—such as My Courses & Learning Plans, course lists, and custom content—so the experience is focused and optimized for Teams. |
| Is there a Slack configuration coming similar to that for Teams? I would love to use that in our organization. | There is already some Slack support for notifications and messages, and more direct agent-style interaction in Slack is planned. That said, the richer in-app page experience highlighted for Microsoft Teams is not currently planned the same way for Slack. |
| As a provider that works across many organizations that use Teams, we can only control the Teams functions within our organization while the integration at orgs that we serve will be subject to the Teams admin settings at each org. Correct? | Yes, that’s correct. You can manage the Docebo-side configuration, but each customer organization controls its own Microsoft Teams tenant. Their Teams or Entra admin must approve the pairing and any relevant app, permission, or policy settings for their users. |
| Is there a notification feature on teams? Can we push training from teams so it shows up on the notifications tab? | Not natively today. The Teams app supports sharing training into chats and channels as course cards, but it does not send course assignments to the Teams Activity/Notifications tab. For assignment alerts, you can use Docebo’s email, in-platform, or mobile notifications. |
Observation Checklist
| Do these changes to assessments/observation checklists mean we will also be getting reporting capabilities on checklists? Our org never used the tool because we had no way to report on these assessments. | Yes. Docebo has already released an Observation Checklists Insights Dashboard, which provides reporting on checklist activity and trends. It includes visibility into metrics such as completion rates, overdue checklists, observer types, validation processes, and other key analytics. |
|---|---|
| What are the differences between Observation Checklist and Learning Evaluation? Is it more about feedback vs. "did they retain what they learned"? | Observation Checklist is for verifying whether someone can perform a task in practice using structured observations and multiple response types. Learning Evaluation is for measuring training effectiveness, typically through surveys and questionnaires. In simple terms: Observation Checklist is better for practical performance validation, while Learning Evaluation is better for feedback and evaluation of training outcomes. |
Learn - New Navigation
| Will the New Navigation change the way learners see our LMS page or is this just for the Admins | The main change for learners is the navigation experience, not the underlying pages themselves. Learners will still access the same content and structure, but the left-hand navigation and overall look and feel will be updated under the new navigation system. If you want to preview the learner experience before rollout, you can enable preview mode and log in as a learner. |
|---|---|
| Is there any way to configure the background colour of the header and side menus in the new navigation mode? We wanted it to match the background of the rest of the page but doesn't seem to be an option. | New Navigation Header and Side-Menu backgrounds are not yet configurable through the Branding and Design palette. |
Docebo Federal
| What further work is being done to align the Docebo platform with the recently delayed Federal ADA accessibility requirements? | Docebo continues to invest in accessibility improvements aligned with WCAG standards, including ongoing remediation, recurring enhancements, updated VPAT/ACR documentation, and regular accessibility release notes. While our current conformance efforts are focused primarily on the learner experience, we continue to expand coverage over time. We are also monitoring evolving Federal accessibility requirements so our roadmap and documentation remain aligned as those timelines develop. |

Security
| With the new releases do you anticipate it affecting security? Sometimes during updates or changes we need websites whitelisted or safe listed or run into SSO issues. | We do not anticipate any negative impacts on existing security configurations, whitelists, safelists, or SSO integrations. To support a smooth transition, updates are deployed to sandbox environments ahead of production release so teams can validate workflows, confirm SSO stability, and identify any local network or safelist adjustments if needed before rollout. |
