For those that tuned in to the 2022 October Release Readiness webinar, you knew these were coming!  If you missed it, don’t worry, you can watch the recording.

 

But first up!  For anyone that may have missed the links we shared at the end of the session, here they are again! 

 

Let’s get to your questions!

 

Q:  Are there plans to add widget duplication to the custom widget page builder as well? We have many homepages in our organization, duplicating pages has been great, but being able to duplicate widgets within one page would be even better.

  1. At this time, there are no plans to implement the requested feature.

 

Q:  Is there any chance you're going to add 'location' to the events fields in the ILT sessions reports, so this can be reported on?

  1. With the new metadata export to be released in December, it will be possible to export the location fields of the events.

 

Q:  How would we be able to look at enrollments and get to the users in certain branches - if its not there on learning plans - could this feature mirror Courses too as in the community, LP's and Courses are used very similary so we need to have similar features between the 2 types

  1. Currently, this is not possible but we will certainly look into this for the future.

 

Q:  When a person signs up for an ILT, the invitation does not go to their calendar, it makes a new one. Why?

  1. When clicking the .ics file from an email notification, a new tab opens to the calendar where the event can be added. The functionality does not look to see if there is an already active session in an open tab, and rather just opens in a new tab/window as desired behaviour. The event can be accepted/declined, and the tab can be closed. The calendar will sync accordingly.

 

Q:  Is there an update on enrollment in sessions for managers?

  1. No update at this time.

 

Q. Can a manger enroll their coworkers in specific ILT sessions, not just to the courses?

  1. No, we have recently added the possibility for a manager to enroll indirect reports, but they can only enroll users to ILT courses and not sessions, just as it is now.

 

Q. Can the manager enroll on the skills tab too?

  1. In the skill page when suggesting a course, the user will also get enrolled, keeping the same rules about visibility as in my team (so there will not be any difference between my team and skill dashboard about what a manager can enroll)

 

Q. Can a course be enrolled in another time and have multiple completions for such compliance courses that have to be done annually?

  1. Not at this time. In order to manage annual compliance training, you can use the Certification & Retraining app (which will delete past completions) or duplicate the course year over year to keep previous completion records.


Q. Is it possible to add a column that lists the user's location in the attendance sheet?

  1. Yes, you can create an additional field under User Management for location. Then, when selecting Print Attendance Sheet, you can click the Configure Sheet button in the top right, select the checkbox for “Enable custom attendance sheet settings for this course” and use one of the 5 dropdowns for the specific additional field.

 

Q. We build hundreds of ILT sessions with a 1 to 1 ratio of events.  Is there an easy way/report to download the Session UUID once that CSV is uploaded?  

  1. With the new course metadata report, it will be possible to extract all sessions IDs. Staging release is coming very soon. With some tweaks, that file can be used to reimport the sessions with the related events.

 

Q. Can you unenroll branches/groups from Learning Plans or just courses?

  1. Learning plans enrollments cannot be grouped / filtered by group or branch (while this is possible in the courses), therefore, there is no way to unenroll by branch or group.


Q. If a course can only be enrolled with admin permission, can the manager override?

  1. No, they cannot


Q. Is the option to sort by additional fields in User Management a possibility?

  1. Yes! From the User Management page, on the left side, there is an icon that looks like 3 vertical bars. Click this, and you can turn off/on the columns that appear in the grid. There is a maximum of 9 columns to display, so you may need to turn some off in order to turn on others, but the additional fields will be at the bottom of your column list.
