Thank you to everyone who attended our adoption webinar — and welcome to anyone who couldn’t make it live. We collected a lot of great questions during the session and didn’t have time to answer them all. This post creates a dedicated place to:
- Share the recording and resources,
- Answer the questions we missed live
- Let you ask follow-ups so presenters or product experts can respond.

Q&A
Below are answers to the questions we didn't get to in the live session.
Tools & integrations
| Can I use Claude or other AI assistants for coding and creating HTML and CSS to deploy in the platform? | Yes! We have a great guide with a prompt that will help those prompts work more effectively within the platform. Also check out this recording from Inspire 2024 on prompting ChatGPT to build custom HTML widgets. Great tips on building and maintaining content. |

Design, thumbnails & CSS
| Can one presenter share the DU Live links about design philosophies? | Yes! Check out our DU Live on Building Better Learning Environments |
|---|---|
| Step-by-step instructions for thumbnails — and can we API-apply thumbnails to all existing courses? | This is actually a great question for Harmony but here’s a KB article that walks through how to update them in bulk. |
| Can we create a thumbnail library/brand library? | Every time you update a thumbnail to the platform it’s saved to the platform but from one admin to another it’s important to maintain design files and thumbnails outside of the platform as well so that you can more easily work with other teams and reuse the assets elsewhere outside of your learning platform (promotional materials, emails, etc). |
| How did Pierre make the clockwise progress visual around his profile photo? | That was a custom CSS/HTML block. We’re just as excited about it and the DU team are going to work to see if we can distill some of these insights into some additional guides. Stay tuned! |
| Where can we place JavaScript for a carousel in Docebo? | Javascript injection isn’t supported by the platform and that widget was actually made without javascript! We’ll work with Pierre to build a guide and post to the community over the quarter. Stay tuned! |
| How much time did you spend on all that CSS? | It really depends. If you’re building custom widgets using ChatGPT or Claude you can build and deploy widgets in 30 minutes to an hour depending what you’re trying to build. It all depends on complexity. Check out this inspire session from 2024 for more ideas! (The tools have only gotten better.) |
| HTML widget CSS stripping & workarounds — is there a better solution? | The HTML widget does strip more complex inline styling. Workarounds: place global CSS in the environment/global theme customization area, target elements by specific IDs/classes. In situations where you share those settings with a broader environment I would suggest creating a novel class structure to denote your content (the inspire session above talks about this in the prompt). |
Personalization
| Does anyone know how to create a personalized greeting, such as: “Welcome, John! What would you like to learn today?” | All things are possible but this is one of those trickier ideas that might be worth asking the broader community. |
|---|
Certifications, skills & analytics
| Can we get a tutorial for building the certification site in the demo? | That’s a great idea. There’s a lot of demand/interest in more design assets so let us review and see what we can create over the next quarter. |
|---|---|
| Stakeholders prefer Skills visual map over badges — how to implement Skills? | Considering how dense and deep skills trees can be we actually have an entire solution tailored to this. Check out Docebo Skills for more information and get in touch. |
| Which custom reports demonstrate engagement and ROI for C-level stakeholders? | We’re going to have more webinars on this exact topic but its a good idea to ask what business outcome are you trying to influence? Once these questions are answered you can start to look at:
|
Community & ongoing connection
| Other ways to connect with customers besides the Community posts | Yes: we run user groups, product-specific forums, and regional events. Stay tuned to the events page and be sure to check out the groups in the top nav bar. |
