We need to send a notification to a group of powerusers when a user is created in the system. We have a number of specific custom user fields that we’d like to include into the notification text. Is there a way to use a custom user field as a short code to add that information automatically into the notification?

As far as I know, the short codes are linked to the notifications templates so are not interchangeable + there are no short codes that exist for the user additional fields other than for certificates...That said, you try using the “Send Email” option from within a course; it has some short codes you can use, or perhaps try the Newsletter option. Never tried adding short codes but it may be worth a try…
