Question

Viewing of your Team Members' Team Members

Greetings!

The highest level managers within our organization's platform have visibility over the team members directly reporting to them. However, they do not have visibility over the team members of those direct reports.

Is it possible for our highest level managers to have visibility over team members who are not directly reporting to them?

Thank you :)

@KRobillos23 Yes you can build a custom report which has the branching filtered so that it covers those persons. But as default, I don’t think it is possible with the My Team function.

Anyone in a direct line should be visible and can be included in reports generated via My Team > Reports

and so on down the chain

On our end, our Regional Managers hold the highest level of managers. However, when they look at their Team Members section, it is not arranged hierarchichally. All their team members can be seen on the list, regardless of their hierarchy within the team.

@KRobillos23 My bad on the first response, I understood your post wrong.

What @lrnlab said is correct. If you have your hierarchy set up correctly then any one from the higher up can see all sub departments & teams below.

If this is not happening, then I would review is the company hierarchy set correctly and are the direct managers set per team.

Thank you for your answers! It really has something to do in the set up of our hierarchy. Fortunately, we were able to learned this.
