Question

We are using the Docebo for SAML integration to achieve SSO from our custom application to Docebo. How can we deep link to a specific course?

We are currently successfully using the Docebo for SAML integration for SSO from our custom application. We are currently authenticating correctly, and able to access Docebo. However, after our SSO login we are sent to a default dashboard page. We would like to link from our application directly to a Docebo course, but we cannot find how to tell the SSO process to send us to a different URL. Is there documentation somewhere that should how to achieve this?

you should be able to use the Course enrolment link and your SSO should kick in automatically. Have you tried that? The regular URL you see when accessing the course form the catalogue should also work. Are you getting different results? What is not working?

I am building the SAML, and posting it to our /lms/index.php?r=SimpleSamlApp/SimpleSamlApp/modules/saml/sp/saml2-acs.php/default-sp url. From there I am getting a response with a URL with this format: /learn/signin;type=token_exchange;exchange_token=<token>. We are redirecting to that URL which logs us in and takes us to the default start location. I am unsure as to where to change that workflow to send us to a different start page.

Not sure I follow...but...only place I can think of that generates a “SAML course link is in the notificaitons...may test that to see if what the URL’s look like. This is from the one called, User enrolled in a course.

from our experience, the simple copied urls from inside Docebo should work but that may depend on your company settings, SSO settings, etc.
