Where do Learners access ILT recordings?

Users only need to go back to the course and they will the JOIN button changed to PLAY RECORDING.

So does Docebo record and store? Or does it just take you to the Teams recording?

​@abbeycooke, to answer your main question: Docebo does not automatically grab and store the recording from Microsoft Teams.

After your Teams event ends, an Admin or Instructor needs to manually link or upload the recording to the Docebo event. You do this by accessing the event in Docebo and clicking the Add recording option (this option only appears after the event's scheduled end time).

You have two options for adding it manually:

1. Upload the video: Download the video file from Teams/SharePoint and upload it directly into Docebo.

2. Link via URL: Paste the direct link to where the recording is hosted (like a SharePoint or OneDrive URL).

Once added, the learner's "Join" button changes to a "Play Recording" button. When they click that button in Docebo, the platform logs that action and marks them as attended.

Two critical details to keep in mind for scale:

First, only users who are actively enrolled in that specific ILT event will be able to see the recording this way. When I've deployed this for organizations that want to build a searchable catalog of past lectures, we typically bypass the ILT recording feature entirely and upload the video to a Channel (Discover, Coach & Share) or wrap it into a standalone E-Learning course.

Second, if your team hosts a high volume of these sessions, you don't have to do this manually. This entire workflow - automatically grabbing the Teams recording link and attaching it to the ILT event, publishing it to a Channel, or even spinning it up as a new digital course - can be fully automated using Docebo Connect or Docebo's APIs.

This was EXTREMELY helpful, thank you! Out of curiosity, is there a way to set equivalence of a course to an ILT EVENT? I played around and it didn’t seem like there was. That would be the easiest way to capture that someone either attended the live session or watched the course that’s the hosted recording.

While Docebo does not support mapping an equivalency between an E-Learning Course and a specific ILT Event, the platform handles your exact use case natively.

That setting you quoted in your very first post—"Mark user as attended when they access the recording"—is the magic button here. You simply check this box in the initial Event Properties when you create the VILT event.

Here is how the workflow seamlessly handles both scenarios for enrolled learners:

1. Live Attendance: If they show up live, they get marked attended (either automatically via a webinar integration or manually).
