Creating Reports for Equivalency Courses

I have created 2 e-Learning courses for a single topic, with one course designed for Tablet and one designed for PC/Laptop. I can see that when one is completed, the other is marked complete as intended, so that is what I want.

My question is, can I create a report that will how me which specific course they completed of the equivalency? I am trying to determine how many people are choosing to complete using the Tablet vs. PC. In the reporting I have been testing, it shows both courses complete for the person regardless of which version they actually used.

Yes, in the Users-Courses reports, under the View Options tab Usage Statistics section, tick the Training Material Time (Sec) box.

This will show the time spent on the course training materials. It will be empty for courses that the user has not actually accessed but completed through equivalency

While I agree that the report can show whether the user interacted with the content, this is not always exact…

We really need a separate completion status for courses that were marked as complete by way of an equivalency...this would simply matters quite a bit.

posted this is ideas but no idea whether it’s actually be ing considered or not since it was closed

@erin.brisson @dklinger @dianex.gomez this is the confusion with tbh new ideas portal...

For reporting- Does the equivalences feature count both courses as one completion? Use case example- I have several ILT recordings in eLearning courses and want the eLearning to be available to those who missed the ILT. If the courses are reciprocally equivalent, for reporting purposes would the completion be counted as 2 (ILT & eLearning), or would only the actual format that was completed be counted as 1 completion and the other would just be marked as complete? I don't want to duplicate completions and skew reporting. I do however want to know how many actually completed the ILT vs eLearning and want to indicate to the user through the use of the equivalency feature that the course is a duplicate and there is no need to complete the eLearning if they attended the ILT.

@dorseyrn unfortunately the 2 records appear as completed courses. There is no real way to distinguish between the 2 except for the time spent on train on materials. I had posted an idea to have a proper status for a course that was marked as completed from an equivalency but not sure if Docebo has any plans to implement this.

@Docebo  - any update in relation to this? This is causing a lot confusion in reports and not sure whether equivalences was the best approach for our set up.
