Hello,

I would like the LMS to recognise when users on maternity and remove them from course notification emails/reporting but still want them to have access to the platform.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Since, obviously the easiest way to stop the reports is to change them to inactive but that would also remove access.  You could move them into a special group or branch, and then filter your notification triggers, but depending on how many notifications you have that could be a lot of effort to maintain.

Along the same line as what mzirnhelt said, if you can pull the leave status in through a user record additional field, you have options with groups.  I would lean more on a group solution than moving them into a different branch, as branches can control landing pages, catalogs, and more depending on how you have your platform set up.   If you still want them to have access, I imagine you want them to retain the same access they have now.

If you can pull the information in as an additonal field on the user record you can use it as a condition line in all groups you have for notifications. Where you have all of your other critiera and then the critiera that the additonal field does not equal LOA or such.  I recommend using groups for email notifications in general, but that is my preferance.

This same group that you use could also be used for reporting, which would then have those on LOA removed and addedd back as the situation changes.

Good luck!
