Is it possible to run a report for a particular elearning course which shows how many attempts were made on an assessment before passing and what their scores were each time?. It seems I can get a final score but nothing else. Any ideas?

Thanks 😀

🤔 without ranting and being summative - the short answer is not really. @mbonner if you are a SCORM shop? I can show you a tool that may be able to help you. What you are after (I believe) is the concept of a gradebook. There are tools that are out there that can help. If you are interested? DM me - and I can show you what I am talking about.

I am not aware of any such report.  Our workaround on that for assessments where we are able to see their submitted answers is to look at the number of answers submitted.  If it was a 10-question quiz and they have 30 answers submitted, we know they had 3 attempts.  We don’t see their score on those other attempts but we can see which answers were correct vs incorrect.

I don’t believe there is a report from the “Reports” menu, but you could find this information by:

  1. Go into the Course in Course Management
  2. Go to the “Reports” tab
  3. Select “Training Materials Statistics” and then select the name of the training material below

From here, you can search for specific users and uncheck the “Show latest test attempts only” box to view all of their attempts, as well as the overall scores and individual question scores. You can then export this information to Excel or CSV, which might get you what you are looking for!
