Scheduling Courses

Hiya - I want to say sure, but before I go down the rabbit hole - can you describe a little more what you want to achieve? Are you looking to drive this all with automation? Only partially with automation? How are people getting into the group?

Enrolling a group into different courses on a monthly basis - I know I can dream up a workflow without much fuss and you can leverage tools like enrollment rules to help make the association and “auto-enroll” people. But if you just want to manage the audience and enroll them once a month as that group? Not a problem either.

I have the group set up and separate courses that should be assigned at the beginning of each month. Just trying to figure out a way to do that automatically rather than manually and trying to remember to do it each month.

​@Eric Fields - hi. Have you reviewed enrollment rules, learning plans, and their capabilities. In combination with automatic groups and some custom user field logic, you may be able to pull it off.

If you are working with a manual group only? Well that may gum things up a little bit because you will still need to do a manual touch of sorts, but in theory you can use manual or automatic groups with enrollment rules - so you could hinge everything on just mapping to the group (and let the enrollment rule do the rest for you).

A question have you looked at the prerequisites and the time delay feature with learning plans?

The only challenge there - a person must complete X to be able to move onto and unlock Y on a day, week or monthly basis.
