Hello,

I’ve come across an issue with the My Team area and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

We have a member of staff who has two job roles, and in one of those roles they manage a team. They have a Manager 1 and a Manager 2 assigned to them.

The person listed as Manager 1 is able to view the staff member’s team through the My Team area, but the person listed as Manager 2 can’t.

Should the My Team area pull through the teams of the people you manage regardless of whether you’re set as Manager 1 or Manager 2, or is this only available to Manager 1?

Thanks!

Hello @Ella Seaton

My name is Samet, and I’m part of Docebo’s Premium Support team.

Thank you for reporting this. The logic is that cascading relationships are visible only when they use the same manager type. For example, if User A manages User B as a Direct Supervisor, User A can only view users managed by User B under that same Direct Supervisor relationship. This keeps the hierarchy consistent and avoids creating unnecessarily broad reporting trees that could affect clarity and performance.

For example, Manager1 manages Federico Martelli as an Operational Manager. Federico manages seven other team members, but only three are associated with him using the same Operational Manager type. Therefore, when Manager1 opens Federico’s team, only those three users—TEST USER1, New User, and TEST USER—are visible. The remaining users are associated through a different manager type and are therefore not included in the cascading view.

Therefore, this is not specifically limited to Manager 1. Manager 2 would be able to view the downstream team only where the relevant manager relationships use the same Manager 2 type throughout the hierarchy.

Please check the manager type assigned to the employee’s team members. If Manager 2 should also be able to view that team, the relevant associations must use Manager 2 consistently through that hierarchy, or Manager 2 must be assigned directly to the downstream users.
This is described in Setting up My team as a Superadmin.

Thank you!
