Customer Education Mastermind

Hi everyone!

I wanted to use this opportunity to introduce myself as a resource to this wonderful Extended Enterprise community. I recently joined Docebo as a Solutions Marketing Manager for all things external education.

I was previously Head of Global Customer Education at Shopify and run my own Customer Education consulting business for scaling B2B SaaS startups. I love talking customer education strategy and sharing my knowledge with and learning from others in this field.

On that note, I wanted to open up an ongoing discussion for those of you working in customer education. We can use this post for two things:

AMA: I’m available to answer questions as it relates to customer education strategy, program development, customer education for lead generation, content personalization, e-commerce/Shopify, or whatever else you’d like to pick my brain on.

Feedback: I’d also love to use this space to get to know you all and learn more about how you’re leveraging Docebo to grow your customer education programs. Part of my role includes advocating for product and feature development that will help our Extended Enterprise customers achieve their goals, so please reach out with your ideas, comments, requests!

Excited to be part of this community, and hope to meet some of you at Docebo Inspire in October! I’ll be speaking about extending your brand with customer education, and I’d love to see you there.

Sam

@samantha.murray Welcome! Look forward to interacting with you.

In your role as an advocate, I’d suggest you track the number of companies that have multiple instances of Docebo globally, due to data privacy concerns. I’d love to see some sort of “integration” (for lack of a better word) for administrators to manage their courses/content across instances without having to duplicate courses/LPs/cat/channels on each instance. I have put forward the an idea along this line, but it got parked.

Regards,

KM/ Viasat, Inc.

@samantha.murray - the reason why we got turned onto extended enterprise was customer education portals...so it is great to know that you have done the travel.

We are a pharma / digital health company that will be turning on a customer facing portal at the right moment (we have a pretty neat concept of how to bring people into our workforce).

For now - as part of our year 2 implementation - we are going to be customizing our domains and internal experience further with Extended Enterprise.

@dklinger great to be connected! Happy to be a resource to bounce ideas off of when you’re ready to launch your customer-facing portal 🙂

@KMallette thanks for the warm welcome, and feedback! We are eager to learn more about how you and others are managing content distribution across multiple instances. Definitely connect with @HawleyKane!

Welcome, Sam! Glad to have you on board! My company (Blackbaud) went live with Docebo Learn in November 2021 with our extended enterprise use case. Our internal use case is slowly rolling out now.

We’re a SaaS company that works with non-profits and the social good sector helping them reach their goals through our software and strategic planning. I’m a part of the Education Services team referred to as Blackbaud University leading the team that manages our external-facing tech stack, and that’s where Docebo comes in. We were with Cornerstone for 9 years before moving to Docebo’s platform. We offer VILTs and various types of eLearning for 19 different products with a free, Learn More, and Learn Everything subscription model. Each month we have about 1,200 unique users, and I just saw some data this week that 85% of our customers that come to the LMS end up consuming training. We’ve spent a lot of this year tweaking the system based on lessons learned post-implementation and getting data out of the system, before moving on to other Docebo functionality next year (channel, discover, coach and share) with a focus on bettering the customer experience and increased renewals.

I love that there’s another voice for the EXE customer, and one that is a Docebian! 😀

Welcome aboard.

I represent many different companies many of whom have an extended enterprise.    If you are looking for ways to improve the extended enter[rise,  I am more than happy to have that discussion with you.  There are many major issues with EE that cause the backend administrator tons of issues.

We currently ran into the biggest issue of how notifications are tied to the EE and what has to be done in order for the correct short codes to work correctly.  This is currently being escalated up through product design and through the customer support teams.

Happy to discuss this and more if you are interested.
