My question today is about choosing a branch name from the dropdown menu during registration. We have free, self-registration set for our learners. When a new learner registers, they are prompted to choose the appropriate branch from the dropdown. However, it seems that choosing a branch is not required.
We have our additional fields set up so that certain information is asked of certain branches. The issue we’re having is that if a learner doesn’t choose a branch, they are dropped into the base branch. Then they are prompted for information that doesn’t pertain to them, and this is causing confusion. Once we manually move learners to the correct branch, the issue resolves itself.
Question: How can we make it mandatory to choose a field from the dropdown so that learners get put into the correct branch upon registration? Would it make sense to add the default top lines to say, choose a branch? Do you have any other advice?
