Error "404 page not found" when i open a scorm

Hi,
Starting today, whenever I try to open an SCORM file from a specific course, I get a 404 error. The debug log shows the following message: "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()".

I downloaded the SCORM via API and re-uploaded it to the same course, and it started working again. Do you know what might be causing this issue?

Thanks!

Christian

it’s possible there was an error during the initial load that was not apparent. I haven't seen this error before.

Hi Irnlab and thanks for the reply. The point is that all these SCORMs were working correctly, and the error suddenly appeared without any changes being made to the course.

Please open a ticket and make sure to record your screen + add the .HAR file to your case. Support will need this.

Chrome how to download HAR file: https://support.google.com/admanager/answer/10358597?hl=en

While I havent seen this error before, we did notice some odd behaviour with a SCORM package that opens in a new window. A few weeks ago it started to close on its own when user clicked the next object. Support identified this as a bug and created a fix for. Maybe this is somehow connected?

I can verify that we are also having this bug in some of our SCORM files launching in PROD, but not STAGE.

Yes, I’m also getting the same error today only from an elearning SCORM course. But, it seems to be isolated to only 1 SCORM course for now.

@c.leoni I’ll try reuploading the SCORM file of the course. Can you confirm that all historical training data for this course were preserved after the reupload? Thanks.

Hi @caycocho

I haven’t checked whether the tracking was maintained, as the course was still in the testing phase. However, I assume that with the SCORM replacement, the completion status will be retained, while the progress status will be reset.
