Automation through API?

Hello Docebo community, I am seeking insights/assistance to help us automate the synchronization of employee data between Oracle and Docebo LMS. At present, we manually download Excel data from Oracle, filter and correct it for LMS, convert it to CSV, and then upload it to the LMS for synchronization. i am looking for a solution that can streamline this process by automatically pulling employee data from Oracle and syncing it with our LMS system. I am wondering if/how FTP can play to into the automation role and im also looking at WinSCP too just to see what, where and how can this be made possible. Thanking you.

Quick View - user overdue courses

What’s the quickest way to see the number of overdue courses for a user? I’m not seeing any super straightforward ways in the User Personal Summary (you can’t filter by due date in the courses tab and there’s nothing in the statistics tab related to due dates). Am I missing something? How do you track your user’s overdue courses?

Help with Docebo User API Integration via OAuth2

Hi everyone – I’m a brand new Docebo user and really appreciate this community! We’re currently setting up an integration between Docebo and our external site. OAuth2 authentication is working—we’re able to obtain the access token successfully. Now we’re trying to use the Docebo User API to retrieve user information (like user ID, name, and email) using that token, so we can sync the data on our external platform. Here’s a sample OAuth2 token response we’re getting from Docebo:{"access_token":"ACCESS_TOKEN_VALUE_HERE","expires_in":3600,"token_type":"Bearer","scope":"api","refresh_token":"REFRESH_TOKEN_VALUE_HERE"} As you can see, the response doesn’t include any user information (like user ID), so we’re not sure how to proceed with retrieving user details using the access token. Has anyone successfully done this kind of integration? Specifically: Which API endpoint(s) should we use to get user info using the access token? Any tips on best practices for securely syncing Docebo user data

Instructions for self-registration

We’d like to provide some instructions for Users to help them self-register. Branches appears to be a difficult concept for them to grasp. Either they do not pick a Branch and it defaults to the first one on the list or they choose an incorrect Branch. Has anyone found a way to provide instructions on the self-registration page?

Viva Learning i framing

Hello We are having issues with some of our Microsoft eLearning material where we have iframed in from the MS website. These links have now been removed and instead users are expected to find content via Viva Learning. We have Viva as an organisation but are unable to replace the iframes within our eLearning as this is not permitted by MS. Is anyone else experiencing this? Interested in how people are getting around this issue. Many thanks Lisa

Error 500 log-in (1 user)

Hello Decebo Community, I need your help understandings why one of our users is not able to access the Learning Hub platform. We have checked the user's status, name, email and all other login details and they are correct as per standard. However, user still not able to log in and Error 500 keeps on popping up. Weird thing is the LH platform recognizes her log in, and states last time accessed. What am i missing? Appreciate your assistance please. Thank you

SalesFORCE and Branches - How do other organizations manage this?

WE are still having an issue with SalesFORCE and Branches with users being moved into the root folder if the branches do not sync. This has become such a manual process, that seems to be never-ending since we have over 600 users and we have many reorgs, therefore, users are constantly moving, or new hires joining. Does everyone that has SalesFORCE and the stand-alone app have this same issue?? When you create a users on the stand-alone app and put them in a certain branch, then the CRM teams gives that user SalesFORCE access a week or so later, and they go into Docebo through SF - they end up moving the user out of the branch I created and instead back to the Root folder? We have 2 diff teams that work on this - the CRM team who runs SalesFORCE and our LMS team. Therefore, this has become such a process (bc we have about 900 users and counting) that are constantly being moved or updated if we are not quick enough to provide the CRM the exact branch name we created. Certification Fulfillment

Hello! I have a a request for an annual certification that requires 5 criteria to complete: 2 professional development activities, 2 learning activities and a compliance course. All 5 “courses” would be external and would require completion certificates. With the external activity functionality, Im finding that each activity needs to be entered / loaded separately and that once they select the certification from the first external activity they enter / upload, the certification requirement has been met. Im wondering if there is a way to make 5 external activities fulfill 1 certification.

Groups Changing without admin involvement

Has anyone had any of their groups suddenly change? Several of our groups have had mass deletions of users and it is logged in our audit trail, but the operation was performed by an unknown user. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Notifications after enrolling users

Hi all! Is it possible to set up a notification after the enrollment in a course? I made three notifications and set them up before enrolling learners. However I needed to add one more notification for the same course and I not sure the learners will receive it if it is set up later.

Multiple users with same email address

We need to allow multiple Users to have the same email address. When Users register manually, they get an error if they enter an email address already attached to another User record. Has anyone found a way to avoid this error and system limitation?

How do I add attendance in the ILT events in a particular ILT Course?

ILT & Details Changed Notification

Hello all! We have some courses that run year-round where new sessions are added on a weekly or monthly bases. We currently have the ‘Detailed Changed for a Session’ notification turned on as we occasionally have to move a course room and are trying to automate those notifications when they occur. My question is: Is there a way to segment the notifications between users who have already passed the course? I haven’t seen one, but an issue we are running into is people who have taken & passed a course get notifications that ‘detailed have changed’ for future courses. We’d like to keep them enrolled so they can continue to review the materials and resources. Other than turning this notification off, has anyone run into this issue or found a work around? Only solution I could think of would be to add groups based on ‘course not completed’ and ‘course completed’ then try and segment the notifications based on those groups instead of a wider range of users. There is no status of Failed?

Does anyone else find it strange that there is no course status of “failed” or “not passed” for a user? I set up an e-Learning shell with three training objects (a file download, an evaluation, and a survey). I set the test as requiring 100% and programmed two fake questions, then ran through the course and purposefully failed the evaluation with my test account. I know how to look at the score and how to go into the Reports tab and see which of the training materials the learner failed but the user remains in the status of In Progress. What I’m looking for is the ability to identify who failed the course, not a single learning object. Reports (screenshot included) show my test user only completed 66% of the course and is In Progress. In reality, the user completed 100% of the course; and they failed the evaluation. Enrollments tab (screenshot included) shows me the user’s score but not what a passing score is so admins would have to research that before we looked at the status this wa

Learning Journal

Hello friends! Thanks in advance for your ideas and suggestions! I have found this community to be very helpful. I want my learners to journal their experience as they move through the course and have their submissions available for their future review. I am creating it as an assignment to prompt them to engage in the process, but it will not be graded. Assignments seems to require grading before the learner can review their submission - I created a Help Desk Request to see if this is true. But I’m wondering: Have you included an opportunity for reflection, such as a journal, in a course you created? Is there a way for learners to upload documents for their future reference but not for grading? Is there a tool besides Assignments that I should consider? Thanks! Andrea

Best Practice for Reporting ILT Learning Hours

Hello, After combing through data included in my ILT reports and I’m finding it very difficult to get accurate and trustworthy hours reported for our learners. What I had expected is to see is for a course containing sessions with events, that the total time completed for a learner would be the sum of attended events. Apparently Docebo doesn’t do this. I see the average time for the course set from the course management level, but this will not return the correct information. Outside of creating my own relational database, is there something I’m missing from a best practice standpoint to get Docebo to directly report this basic information? Thanks.

Maybe I am missing something, but I don’t see a way to subscribe, or otherwise get notifications, when a new idea is posted to the Ideas portal. Does anyone know how to do this?

Resetting course completion

Can someone please tell me what happens if admin resets course completion to “not started?” I know the previous completion is archived, but what are the downsides of doing this? I want our learners to see “not started” for courses when the “certification” we assigned has expired. The certification and retraining notifications and processes are not intuitive enough for learners to know they have work to complete.

Change/Hide Player Screen - This content has ended. You may close this window"

When a training material is completed, the text "The content has ended. You may close this window.” appears. It’s confusing our learners as they think the course is done and they close it, so they’re not continuing to the next “lesson”. It's referring to that particular training material, not the course. I asked Docebo for help and they didn’t have anything they could do. The text is not included in the localization tool, so we can’t just change what it says. They advised I ask my front end team to hide it with CSS. However the screen doesn’t stay very long, so I am unable to identify the CSS to target. Does anyone have suggestions or CSS they’re using to overcome this issue?

Docebo and MS Teams integration

Hi all you wonderful people! We are thinking about getting the new Docebo/MS Teams integration and I wanted to start a conversation with anyone that has feedback on the integration and maybe even some lessons learned. I am sure our learning journey is similar to many of your stories, but basically we are always looking for ways to lessen the barriers to learning and since we use MS Teams throughout the day, this seems like a good option to help with that. But, as always, it has to have a ROI. So, anyone have some thoughts on the topic?
