New Automatic Groups Conditions 

There are 3 (maybe even 4, but who's counting) updates to group creation. 

  1. Automatically add users to groups based on language or email address

  2. Import users to groups via CSV 

  3. Prevent deactivated users from being added to groups by automatic rules

Mobile support for the My Calendar widget

The My Calendar widget is now available for mobile! Your learners can check their calendar from upcoming courses and ILT/VILT events on the go.

For those using groups to manage users, a handful of enhancements are being released this month:

  • two new conditions to automatically add users to groups based on their selected language or on keywords included in their email address

  • the possibility to associate users both to automatic and manual groups via CSV files

  • a new option to prevent deactivated users from being added to groups by automatic rules

 

Revamped interface for the Apps and Features page

Visibility of the courses and learning plans purchased via subscriptions

Differently from what was communicated on February 1, 2022, for those using subscription plans in their platform, the introduction of the new built-in page Catalogs in My Subscriptions will have no impact on the Course Catalog page. The courses and the learning plans listed in the catalogs purchased via subscriptions will be shown on both pages to provide better consistency.

 

Docebo for Microsoft Teams no longer requires instructors to be Azure Administrators

As communicated on February 8, 2022, starting with this monthly release, the Docebo for Microsoft Teams integration will no longer require instructors to be administrators of the Azure domain they are registered in. For those using the Extended Enterprise app and integrating with SAML for the Single Sign-On and the user provisioning, starting from this weekly release, when a user is moved to a sub-branch of the main domain, he or she will no longer be moved to the main domain nor will be kept both in the sub-branch and in the main domain when accessing the platform via user provisioning. This enhancement improves the platform’s security

 

Improvements to the Audit Trail

Starting from this weekly release,  the Audit Trail will improve the display of event initiators. When an event was triggered by an automated task the audit trail will now display the application that caused the event or chain of events instead of the owner of the scheduled task in the Operated By field. Revamped Interface for the Course Advanced Properties management

Possible score calculation misalignments in the Course Summary Report

For those using the Course Summary Report, please note that starting from this weekly release, you may experience some misalignments with the score value displayed in the report. If so, you can trigger the score recalculation by changing the score calculation method for the course in the course Properties area, saving your changes, then moving back to the original calculation method and saving again.

 

Changes to certain input fields in the Extended Enterprise app

New API for the management of the thumbnail usage in courses

starting from this weekly release, the used_by attribute will be removed from the APIs output, and a new API will be available to retrieve the list of courses where thumbnails are used. The name of the new API is GET /course/v1/thumbnails/{id}/usage

 

Docebo Learning Impact - Compare items by User Additional Fields (Learners) in the Results Comparison tool

Manual migration of webinar courses

Starting from this weekly release, you have the opportunity to prepare your platform for the migration of the courses having the Webinar (Deprecated Soon) course type by mapping the course additional fields for webinars, thus entering the pre-migration phase. Once in the pre-migration phase, the Superadmin of your platform can manually migrate courses, one by one, or wait for the automatic migration, starting on February 23, 2022. Remember that starting from this weekly release, you will no longer be able to create courses having the Webinar (Deprecated Soon) course type. New built-in page available for licensed catalogs

For those using subscription plans in their platform, starting from this weekly release, a new built-in page will be available to provide better visibility on the catalogs included in the subscriptions of the user logged in the platform. The page name is Catalogs in My Subscriptions. As a result, the Course Catalog page will no longer show the courses and the learning plans listed in the catalogs purchased via subscriptions.

 

Updated label in the My Activities menu

401 error response returned by the POST /manage/v1/user/password API

As communicated on November 2, 2021, for those using the POST /manage/v1/user/password API, starting from this weekly release, when the API is called with an invalid token because the session has expired, the endpoint will return a 401 error status code response and no longer a 400 error response.

Delays on the adoption of the enhanced cookie policy management

Differently from what was communicated on January 25, 2022, the adoption of the enhanced cookie policy management and the integration with the OneTrust Cookie Consent solution will be available starting from March 16, 2022. The team is taking some extra time to work on the management of some edge cases linked to the migration of existing policies.

 

User directly logged in with the free self-registration

For those using the free self-registration, please note that starting on May 11, 2022, the platform will no longer show a pop-up for the user to enter his or her credentials, and will directly log in the user when the following configuration is set in the Advanced Settings area of the platform:

  • the Do not send confirmation email at self registration option is selected in the Self Registration tab, Registration Type area

  • the Automatically calculate password option is selected in the Users tab, Options area

 

LTI training material URLs trailing slashes no longer removed by Docebo

For those using LTI training material, please note that starting on May 25, 2022, Docebo will no longer remove the LTI training material URL trailing slashes for proper management of the user authentication when playing this type of training material.

 

Action needed for Docebo for Microsoft Teams integration users

On February 23, 2022 an improvement to the Docebo for Microsoft Teams integration will be released. 

With this update you are able to add instructors to webinars without needing to grant them Administrator privileges in Microsoft Azure, thereby minimizing potential risks to your infrastructure.

In order for this improvement to be implemented, you will be required to re-pair your Docebo for Microsoft Teams integration with Azure immediately after the update has been released. Please see the chapter on Re-Pairing Docebo For Microsoft Teams with Azure in the Knowledge Base article for further details.

 

Restrictions on operations involving payments when impersonating users or Power Users

For those using the impersonation functionality, please note that starting on April 28, 2022, Superadmins will no longer be able to perform any operation requiring payment (such as purchasing courses and learning plans or buying and renewing subscriptions) when impersonating a user or a Power User. They will be able to perform those actions only when logged in as Superadmins.

Branch selection behavior change for the Enrollment Rules app

For those using the Enrollment Rules app, please note that starting on May 11, 2022, when using branches as resources for rules, selecting all of the sub-branches belonging to a branch will no longer automatically behaves as if the Descendants option is enabled. This behavior has not been visible so far as the Descendant option was not graphically displayed as enabled in the interface, but was actually enabled in the backend. After that date, when adding a sub-branch to the selected branch, it will no longer be selected by default.

 

Enrollment validity dates management no longer allowed via AP

Please note that, starting on May 5, 2022, the following APIs will no longer allow to set or update the enrollment validity dates for ILT (Instructor-Led Training)courses:

  • POST /learn/v1/enrollments/{course_id}/{user_id}

  • PUT /learn/v1/enrollments/{course_id}/{user_id}

  • POST /learn/v1/enrollments

  • PUT /learn/v1/enrollments

  • POST /learn/v1/enrollment/batch

With the new automatic groups conditions, can power users now create automated groups? I understand that power users could only create manual groups, but with the changes has this changed?

Hi @Swatson Currently, power users cannot create/manage automatic groups, but they are able to use the new import CSV capability.
