Can’t Edit Completion Dates in Learning Plans – Anyone Have a Workaround?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone else noticed we can’t change or edit the completion date in Learning Plans anymore? We used to be able to do this without any problem.

Here’s what I’m running into:

  • One learner’s last course was completed in April 2025, but the certificate is pulling an August date.

  • No courses have been completed since April for this profile, so the certificate date is clearly wrong.

We occasionally need to adjust the completion date—like when someone attends the training in person instead of online. I know it’s not ideal, but it’s just how we roll sometimes.

Has anyone found a workaround for this? Or is this a new system change we’re stuck with?

Hi ​@TFinley - Are you familiar with the API Browser? The option exists there.

It isn’t too hard once you understand some of the basics. With a bit of tinkering you could update a user in the API browser in a couple of minutes.
