Videos in Storyline Course Not Resuming at Saved State

​@CarrieMN89 - Good morning from the East Coast. Dont shoot me - I am but a messenger. - But I believe that picking up on where to resume specifically with videos is a bigger SCORM issue. There are very few tools that do it well today - I think that Camtasia finally got it right, but it also assumes you are using their player. But it used to be buggy (at best) in my hay day of trying to make it work well. And with mobile devices - I think all bets are off in terms of a correct way of resuming because mobile devices will pass off video playing to its own player.

I may be showing my age - please school me up if I am wrong.

I am playing with the options to use JavaScript and variable triggers in Storyline 360 using the built-in player. Next would be cue points and triggers. I do believe that will work, but not at the exact spot they left off at.

Next is creating a save progress button that lands on another slide that has a button that shows Resume to return the person at where they left off at. 

I just wanted to give the user the ability to have a seamless process learning without having to leave the video to another slide to go back or restarting from the beginning every time they return.

I am even trying the troubleshooting process with AI.

Hi, I wanted to give an update on the “Save Progress and Resume" feature for videos in Storyline. I've been able to get it working. :) I've created a step-by-step guide on how to set it up. It might need a few more tweaks, but it's working in the LMS.
