We would like to block all Docebo Learning Notifications a for a group of employees, all these employees are active in our HR system.

Is anyone aware of how to do it.

Regards,

SomeG

Hello SomeG,

I had this issue, and I solved it by creating a Branch with users I did not want enrolled in courses. Then, when I enrolled everyone in a course, I specified the Branches and did not select the Branch with those individuals.

I’m interested to hear how others met this challenge.

Yes. Lots of ways. But probably the best is to start off with better practices and only establish notifications for groups. It sounds like you are scoping them to all individuals that match an action in your instance (enroll in a course, complete a course etc).

When a notification is scoped you get a chance to establish who the recipients are. So one (of the many ways to do this) is put those folks into a manual group…and then ensure to setup another automatic group where you add the conditional logic that the manual group should be excluded. And that should do it.

You can ask the HRIS team to send a “fake” value as email to Docebo for those users.
Instead of mike@company.com, ask HRIS to send you invalid-mike@company.com.

If you don’t want to do that, you can also send instructions to the users how to create a Rule in Gmail/Outlook to move all Docebo emails to their Deleted folder as soon as emails are being received.

We do this by creating groups and then setting up only the necessary groups to receive notifications. So it’s not really blocking- more thinking about how you can identify only the people you want to get it. Good Luck!

We set up groups and select the groups that we want enrolled in the relevant courses.  You could set up a group using conditions and exclude HR. I hope this helps.
