When a user types a keyword in the search bar at the top of the screen and the results page populates, is there a way to prevent the results from taking over the entire screen?
Alternatively, is there a way to make the selected item open in a new tab when the user clicks on it?
What’s happening now is that the user searches, the results page appears, they find what they need and click on it, but the item opens behind the search results page instead of in front of it. This is causing confusion because users are waiting for the item they selected to load on the current screen or open in a new tab, not realizing it has already opened behind the search results.
I may be imagining, but I thought it did open in a new tab when they clicked on it?
