[FEB 25 Update] Certification Prototype Videos: Key User Flows in Action

I came to ask the same thing. Looking forward to an answer. 

​@Nicolo Malinverno This is the Feb update, can we get a new update with expectations of when we will see the new Certifications in the sandbox and production environments?

According to the Docebo Feature Roadmap this is still in feasibility assessment. From all you showed us it looks more like you are in the development phase. 

This is a game changer and is much anticipated. We have learners who are required to get certifications aligned to their roles and a crucial metric is missing: Who is required but not certified. This is hard to get to and being able to assign the certification is the answer to our prayers!

Ditto. There are still many unanswered questions around specifically how this will work, and it has the potential to create enforced havoc around our certification process.

Coming to this post a bit late - I’ve taken a look at this group and all of the great posts and feedback that others have offered. Very exciting to see many of the planned updates for certifications. After watching the videos above, a few questions come to mind that will impact the usability of the new certifications for my team:

• Will the new certifications support multiple paths to the same certification like the current setup? I see “smart completion” mentioned in the replies but don’t fully understand what that entails.
  • Many of our certifications are awarded via the completion of learning plans (usually a combination of eLearning and ILT courses taken in a specific order).
  • However for many, more than one learning plan can be taken to achieve the same certification. Or in some cases, either a full learning plan or a single course can both award the same certification. This is critical functionality for us.
• Will we still be able to award certifications based on “External training” as admins?
  • This is important for us to track outside training and qualifications that are not suited to track via eLearning or ILT courses. 
  • We do not allow learners to upload external training themselves. Instead, managers send us records to input and connect to certifications. 
  • In the learner view in the video, I see the option for learners to upload “external activity” but there is also a message in the admin view saying that the certifications can’t be published until at least 1 course is connected. Does this mean it won’t be possible to create certifications that are solely awarded based on external training?
