I am looking for best practices or suggestions to receive text-based inputs from learners (customers). I do not care about scores, %, etc at all for this specific task. We have: Docebo Learn, Storyline + Rise, plus some others but those are my first thoughts on tools to use.

Essentially I want to be able to use Docebo reporting to take customer responses and email them to internal parties. We typically use Rise with embedded storyline blocks. What is the best way to do this?

Edited to add: we will most likely be setting up the users receiving the text-based responses as “managers” for the customer users, if that changes anyone’s suggestion.

You can gather txt based responses in a few spots using Docebo. The native text has short answer and extended text type questions, Surveys have the same or you can look using the Assignment learning object where you can post a form and the user can fill it out and submit it. You can download it on the back end if needed.

The exam and surveys will offer the easiest reporting though.

@lrnlab thank you! that is helpful. so to be clear: you are speaking about adding this as separate training material outside of the rise course scorm package. (see below)

I will test it but I am concerned about the UI/UX of moving from a course into this as a separate training material. What are the options to use Rise or Storyline to report quiz results? Any text-based options?

Correct…

There is reporting for SCORNM objects as well but it’s a little harder to read depending on what version you use, SCORM 2004 3rd Ed (best), xAPI (ok), SCORM 1.2 (least amount of data). You woudl need to run some tests to see which is best for your use case.

Great, thank you @lrnlab for the speedy and clear response! much appreciated 😁

@lrnlab another question now that i am testing - do surveys allow for reporting the learner name or organization or would test be better for this? seems like i would have to create groups for each client logo with the individual learners/customers under each group to connect it to the correct account. does that sound accurate?

Surveys do not display user names so that may not be your best option.
