Users, Groups & Enrollments

I want to change the “Please confirm your registration request” email that asks users to verify their email address. I thought setting up a “User email address must be verified” notification would overwrite that, but I still get the same registration request email.I tried notifications, advanced settings and a couple more places but can’t find the origin of that verification email. As a last resort I could change it in the Localization Tool, but I’d rather avoid that.Can someone point me to the right place, please?

I have a power user who is set up to edit and manage a particular elearning course.  Although she can indeed edit, she cannot see a preview of the content.What permission do i need to give to allow power users to preview a course (click the learner view button)

Hi,is it possible to “invite to watch” an asset posted in learning communities to a branch and/or sub-branch of users?  the only options I see is under “invite to watch” is either to a community or individuals. Thank you

I have a “Users - Learning Plans” report scheduled for the 1st of each month. Between the 6/1/2024 report and the 7/1/2024 report, it appears that 200+ users are no longer included in the “In Progress” status when I filter the Excel file. Reports up to and including 6/1/2024 showed many users with a status of “In Progress” and a completion percentage of 0, which meant they were working on the first course of the learning plan (or at least so I thought). Starting with the 7/1/2024 report, there are no users in the report with an “In Progress” status and completion percentage of 0. Spot-checking some of the 6/1/2024 user-specific reporting for the In-Progress/0 users shows that they haven’t started the first course, as if their progress may have been reset somehow, but I haven’t verified whether these users had actually been working on the first course prior to this change.Did something change with reporting in a recent update that would explain this? I can’t tell what happened otherwise

We have our compliance and cyber security trainings in Docebo, and we have had a couple people let go, where we had to provide proof of their trainings. For future reference, if a user is no longer using the LMS how long do we have before their information is gone or is it stored indefinitely? 

I need to run a report on how many people are in each Group I’ve created. Also would be good to see who was in each group.Any ideas?

I wanted to share what we experienced archiving enrollments for our retired courses.  We logged a ticket which was helpful but we received an error and finally I figured out a solution.  Since you can only archive up to 10,000 at a time and the select all wasn’t working, I did a filter by for ENROLL and then I selected all and unenrolled them.  Then I filtered on IN PROGRESS and COMPLETE and then archived. I’ve had no issues going this route.  Only thing to remember it’s a background job so it’s not instant like unenrolling.  I just truly wanted to share in case someone is having the same issue we were experiencing!

Hi everyone!I wonder if you could help me.  I have a spreadsheet of training and, although some of the courses are the same, each expiry date of the training is different.  I’m mulling over whether it’s best to upload en masse to external training or whether it’s more apt to set up an ILT course.  I plumped for ILT, but not sure what to do about all these expiry dates (it’s looking like I might have to enter each individually).  I noticed on the bulk upload that there is an active until section but this doesn’t seem to affect anything and ideally I’d like a notification to the individual to let them know they need to do this again.  I am also considering renewals, but again there’s so many start and end dates it would be very time consuming to go through each one. Has anyone got any best ideas on this or will I have to do this one by one?Thanks for your helpKeep safePaul 

Is it possible to control self-enrolments at session level? For context, all staff are enrolled on a Course, for them to then self-enroll into an ILT session.  However, I want to be able to turn self-enrolments on/off at session level.  I have only found self-enrolment options at course level. Does anybody have the answer?

Hello!We are working on creating our power user profiles and permissions but we are having a hard time understanding the assigned resources part of it. Does any one have tips or best practices used when assigning the resources?We will have creating power user profiles for all managers so that they can enroll/unenroll their direct reports.  

My company is looking to bulk assign group resources to our power users. We have hundreds of groups and each user is a part of one of those groups. If they’re a power user, they have visibility and access over their respective group. To make this possible, each power user need to be assigned their group as a group resource.  Is there a way to bulk upload and assign the group resources? 

I’m not sure if this can be done, but I’m hoping some people may have some experience with this. I’m setting up some ILT sessions. I created a widget with a button that will take the user to the session page and allow them to pick a session and enroll. The problem is, we have limited seats in our class and I want just the managers to enroll their people. When I restricted the enrollment and logged into the manager account, I click on MY Team and clicked enroll user to course. When I selected the correct ILT course, it enrolled them into the course but it didn’t allow me to enroll inn a specific session date. Is there a way a manager can enroll in the course and pick the specific session for their people?

We are in the process of transitioning from one LMS to Docebo - the issue however being this is occurring over a period and there does not appear to be an easy way to bulk complete people without moving through every course and selecting tick boxes. Is anyone aware of a solution that can help here?

I’m sure that I am missing it, does anyone know if there is a learning course for how to have users sign up for a learning course? Thanks in advance! 

I was wondering if there was a way to only allow certain files type in the assignment file uploads.  For example, we want our users to upload a CSV file only.  It is confusing when they see the option to upload YouTube, record their screen, etc.  Any hints or recommendations would be appreciated.  

Hi! I created a a custom report which shows the Username, Branch name and Linked product to our users. The Linked product is an additional field which we've created earlier on.For some reason the Product is empty for some users.This is a mandatory field so i'm a bit puzzled why it is not filled for all users?Are there known causes for this and what would be the best way to solve this? 

Hello!  Our Users are pulled into a Learning Plan based on their Job Description.  When a Users Job Description changes (example: Users Job Description updated from “Operator” to “Lead”), the User automatically receives the new Learning Plan based on their new Job Description.  We were under the impression that new content to the “Operator” Learning Plan would not deploy to the User, only new content to the “Lead” Learning Plan, based on the Users Job Description.  This does not seem to be the case.  I don’t want to un-enroll these users from the original Learning Plan because we need to maintain training records for compliance requirements.Does anyone else deploy training based on Job Description and if so, how do you ensure they only receive future updates to the Learning Plan associated with their most recent Job Description?Thank you!Brianne

We are experiencing some issues with the direct enrollment link. We have tested the same enrollment link with a few internal employees, here are the scenarios:1: Internal employee can access using the enrollment link - works as expected2: Internal employee cannot access the course directly - the enrollment link3: Internal employee cannot access the course directly - gets a 403 errorWe aren’t really sure where the inconsistency is. We are using the same link, and the users have permissions to the course.Does anyone have any ideas for fixes for this issue?

I have a list of people for which we require the pdf user summaries downloaded.Anyone know of a way i can “automate” or at least achieve this via the API? Doing it manually is… slow.

One of my favorite Docebo features is how when you start to type a user’s name or course title into a search or report dashboard field and it pre-populates up to 10 values for you to select from. That being said, I’m wondering the logic behind this functionality, as the list doesn’t always include the existing record I’m looking for. This is more specific to user’s name as obviously there’s a lot of them. More unique names aren’t an issue. I’m curious of the criteria or algorithm the system uses to create the list.I have examples of searching for first name finding the record and not, as well as, searching for last name finding the record or not. In some instances neither find the record. I have to enter the User ID to find the record.Issue: Our power users will not always know the User ID to search. I’m afraid they’ll sometimes run into issues and not quickly find the user information they’re looking for.Unfortunately I can’t provide screenshots which would clearly show my experience

I’m trying a POST request to the /manage/v1/user/batch endpoint and hit a roadblock. The option/branch_option key requires a value but I don’t know what values are allowed or what they do.In fact, 3 of the options related to branches are a bit unclear. Where are these documented? "options": { "destination_branch": "string", "branch_option": "string", "force_create_branches": true, "user_destination_branch_action": "add", }I don’t know what branch_option, destination_branch, or user_destination_branch_action do.I gather that force_create_branches means that if I provide a branch that doesn’t exist, the system will create it. Hello,I’m trying via Docebo connect to include Custom User Fields in the anonymization process. The example which can be found within Docebo connect works well with the standard fields but does not allow me to add the custom fields as a Data pill to the recipe. The part I’m struggling with the Child recipe where you need to define in the update user step which fields you want to anonymize. However it is not possible to select the Custom user fields. I have created a custom action in order to retrieve all user data but then in this step I cannot refer to the “Filter to get users” neither to the page and the page size as is done within the standard step “update user”. Can somebody point me in the right direction please?

Does anyone else NOT want power users to be able to set validity dates on a learning plan?The new learning plan update (which is otherwise great) has give power users the ability to set validity dates on the learning plan when enrolling users. We have a large client base with numerous power users who enroll users in learning plans. We have always had all our courses always available to users as a refresher as well allowing them to complete a course after the due date. Prior to the recent learning plan update power users did not have the ability to set validity dates, now they can. The problem is, they do not know what validity dates are or the ramifications of using them. Even if we send out an email to all power users explaining it to them, many will not read it or they will forget it in 3 months.If anyone knows how I can hide the learning plans validity dates from the power users please let me know.

Hello everyone,I have a question about the CSV upload for sessions & events. We have a number of ILT’s coming up, all the sessions and events have been created. We were hoping that we could upload the individuals via CSV to the specific ILT sessions & events.Right now, we have it set up, so each session is paired with its own session since they’re all unique over different dates & times.I was looking at the sample CSV and I only see a course code (which I assume is the ILT) and the session code (self explanatory) but I don’t see an option for the specific event.Is it possible to upload specific events?Right now it’s looking we can use the CSV to manually upload the session data but we’ll have to go in and manually assign the specific events.
