Looking through some of the older conversations, I found some good information, but in addition to needing more information, I’m wondering how up-to-date this is.
I want to know pros and cons of each payment gateway. Let’s discuss:
- the cost to the company
- ease of use for learners
- ease of refunding
- whether it forces the learner to use an account to make a purchase
- how well it integrates with your other payment-collection systems.
We are a US based company who frequently does business in the US and Canada, but occasionally does other international business with other countries around the world. We are currently using PayPal, and while it’s user friendly and widely accepted in various countries across the world, the pay as guest feature is a pain. We receive daily complaints that it is still forcing people to use their personal PayPal accounts when they want to pay with a business credit card. It’s also a bit of a process to refund purchases because we have to do this in 2 different systems (this may be unavoidable, but I want to see if there’s an alternative).
I am also curious: has anyone successfully implemented an alternative payment gateway? I mean one that isn’t offered in the list that Docebo provides. We use a different payment gateway for all other purchases within our company, but it’s not offered as an option for Docebo. If someone has been able to use an alternative payment gateway, please let me know what your experience was!
