I’m running into an issue with forum discussions and was hoping someone might have some ideas.
I’ve created a forum discussion within a course, but when I view the course from a user account, the Forum widget is visible, but the discussion itself does not appear in the widget.
A few things I’ve checked:
- The discussion is not hidden.
- The forum is only attached to this one course and is not being shared across multiple courses.
- The user can see the Forum widget itself.
- I tested creating a forum and discussion in another course and experienced the same behavior.
Has anyone experienced this before, or does anyone know what could prevent a forum discussion from appearing in the Forum widget even though the widget itself is visible?
I’ll add screenshots below showing my forum/discussion settings and what the user sees for reference.
