ILT Reporting - Start date not pulling through

I have created a report using new reports, and need my report to pull the date the course starts not the date that the course was marked as completed. i have amended the reporting fields and ticked under course field ‘Course Start date’ but nothing is pulling through. we need to know how many colleague completed a course on the start date and not the date it was marked as completed.
