Docebo Pro Administrator Certification

I really appreciate your encouragement to become a Docebo Pro!

My recommendation is to follow the official Docebo Learn Admin Certification Study Guide and complete as many of the available eLearning courses as possible.

I would also recommend using the Docebo Pro – Study Tracker – Administrator Certification.xlsx as your checklist. Once you feel confident that you understand at least 80% of the topics, you can consider taking the certification exam.

For your question 

From my personal experience, I completed the available eLearning courses and worked through the Study Tracker. I didn’t invest in ILTs, as my learning style is more focused on self-learning and learning through hands-on experience. However, this depends on your own learning style.

The most important thing is to practis what you learn. If you have access to a Docebo Sandbox, use it as much as possible. Try the features yourself rather than only reading about them.

I would pay particular attention to:

• User Management
• Content Management
• Reports and Reporting
• AI Companion
• Roles, permissions, and administration settings
• Learning plans, courses, and enrolments
• Practical day-to-day LMS administration scenarios

And don’t worry too much about the exam—you have three attempts, so you have some room to learn from the experience.

Most importantly, take your time and build your confidence rather than rushing to take the exam.

For reference, I completed my certification in my 8th month of starting my Docebo journey. So there’s no need to feel that you have to be ready immediately. Build a strong foundation, practise regularly in the Sandbox, and take the exam when you genuinely feel prepared.

​@dhanushka dayasiri has some amazing points - you should definitely check out the free Study Guide! 

However, I would strongly recommend the Fundamentals of System Administration ILT course. It was build as a standardized path to the Docebo Pro Certification, making it so that you check off many things on the Study Guide! 

Now, will you be ready to pass the Pro Exam as soon as you graduate ILT? No, you’ll need a little more studying based on some of the more advanced topics in the Study Guide. 

That being said, one of the best parts about ILT is that every single thing is hands-on & experiential. You build a live Docebo platform completely from scratch - there’s not a thing in the list that ​@dhanushka dayasiri shared that you don’t get to practice a real-world scenario with in the live ILT! In addition, you’ll do things like build a live, functioning integration, get to learn from other Docebo customers, and have an expert there to answer your questions as they come up. 

…. You even get access to the sandbox environment that you’ll build during training for another week (or longer!) after the ILT course! So you’d have a safe place to learn & practice outside of your production environment. 

You can absolutely get to a place where you can take the Pro Exam with eLearning and experience; people do it every day! :)

All of that on the table though, people that take the Fundamentals of System Administration ILT course are statistically becoming Docebo Pros faster than cohorts taking the eLearning options. I wish there was something like that ILT when I was a customer, but at least it’s here now - if you can swing it, I would highly recommend the ILT course!
