We’ve built our own orchestration platform that can dynamically build tenants, pre-stage content, and then tear down those tenants in our product.   For awhile, we’ve been using VMware Lab Platform to host those labs (basically the “UI” for the lab view + content view), which then sends webhooks to our orchestration layer to dynamically provision the labs.

We’re a bit unique in that we don’t need our learners to have Virtual Machines, so we’ve updated “frame ancestors” to allow the console of our SaaS product to be viewable as an iframe in the VMware Lab Platform directly - no “container Browser” VM to view the SaaS product.  That said, Broadcom has recently announced sunsetting the lab platform so we’re on the hunt for a new Hands-on Lab solution.

To help you, here’s a list of providers you may want to speak with -- there are some nuances amonst them all, so you’ll definitely want to do a fair amount of due diligence and ask a lot of questions:

  • Skillable - allows non-LTI portal access
  • Cloudlabs - allows non-LTI portal access
  • Cloudshare - allows non-LTI portal access
  • Heropa - allows non-LTI portal access
  • Instruqt - LTI for SSO Access
  • Strigo - No public portal currently.
