Has anyone implemented the Honorlock integration since it launched in 2024? How’s it working for you?

I can give you a little insight into our story at Docebo University. I know we’re a little biased but it honestly was a huge time saver and value ad from our previous solution.

Our Story:

We transitioned from a legacy proctoring approach (ProctorU / live proctoring workarounds) to a productized Honorlock integration in 2024. The difference for us was mostly operational: what once required lots of custom work for the initial integration and day-to-day admin time is now simple, reliable, and much less hands-on.

Before

  • 16 weeks of dedicated solutioning and configuration with Docebo technical experts to get online proctoring working.

  • The old online proctoring flow was clunky, buggy, and disruptive for test-takers.

  • For a small amount of time we were having to manually live proctor exams which consumed about 20 hours/week of our DU admin team’s work week.

After

  • We partnered with Honorlock and activated an always-on, productized integration.

  • Same-day plug-and-play configuration and go-live without messy coding or baby sitting a custom solution with our it/ops team.

  • Easy setup and a seamless experience for test-takers. The vendor is significantly better and has some really cool features that i suggest listening to the end of this DU Live where they demo and discuss some of their features. (My favorite is simulated proctoring and spamming your questions online to prevent cheating)

  • Minimal ongoing oversight. DU admin time dropped to troubleshooting + reporting, and we realized $50,000+ in annualized savings from the change.

Bottom line
Honorlock let us move from a labor-intensive, brittle approach to a simple, on-platform proctoring experience that scales. The big wins were lower operational effort for DU admins, a much smoother tester experience, and a straightforward, productized way to run proctored certifications.
