Docebo Support here!I wanted to create a post to create some visibility for other clients in case they are unaware of this feature for Power Users. For Power Users with permissions to create courses they are also able to assign those courses to Categories within the course management. However, without the power user having the assigned resource under their course resources tab they will not be able to do so.
Hi all,We use Docebo for internal staff members. However there is a need to us to make certain modules available to external partners. Can someone explain to me best practise here so these externals only see the right content. Do i:Create a branch or a group create the external and users and put them in to one of these branches and groups Create a page specifically for these users (or can they use the one all staff use)I’m a little lost at the standard process here and i don't want to inadvertently give these people access to the entire catalogue.
I am trying to create a report of weekly usage for a branch of users. I’ve created and scheduled the report but I can’t figure out how to make the dates work. Right now I have the completion date “is in the range” and I used 10/18-10/24. This isn’t going to work to automate and run weekly. I tried using the “is before” or “is after” settings and I don’t get the same data as when I use the “is in the range” filter. Any tips?
Is there a notification that is available that I can set up to send out to users who have yet to complete an observation checklist? The checklists I have set up now doesn’t let me set up how often I would like them to be notified until it is completed.
I have a client who has an external & internal use case which leads them to having two different types of logins. For their internal users they sign in via SSO and external users login with Username & Password. It seems that the users often confuse the two logins which creates frustration. One idea was to modify the login page so that when user clicks the login button, they are prompted to select their user type and redirect them to the correct login page either SSO or Docebo. Has anyone else done this before? OR has anyone else experienced this and have recommendations on what they have done?
I have been hesitant to utilize the New Reports because they do not give real time information, but last week I decided to give them another shot…I set up a series of reports to send on the first of the month to some organization leadership, but when the 1st rolled around, I didn’t receive a copy. ( I have the setting in the platform to CC a certain email address all emails the platform sends). I confirmed with one of the leaders that the report did send to them, but I didn’t receive a copy. Are the new reports exempt from the “CC all platform emails” setting as a feature? or is this a bug?Anyone else notice this with scheduling emails from New Reports?
I am enabling eCommerce for some upcoming vILT classes.I have set up Authorize.net and it is working properly. My question is about the expected behavior for an abandoned shopping cart. It seems that if someone abandons that they are either placed in In Progress status (if abandoned before confirm step) or Waitlist status (if abandoned after confirm step but before payment). I can see the value of knowing if users abandon their shopping carts but am concerned that this will create an extra admin task to keep the enrollments list straight. Are my settings wrong? Any suggestions?
We are using the Central Repository (CLOR) to have one instance of each video, PowerPoint, pdf, etc. in the system for reuse, versioning, and to maintain consistency within the platform. One of the benefits of Channels is that you can have learning assets without them being in courses. How do I leverage the one copy of the learning asset in a channel?
Can a badge be earned more than once?Let’s say you want 10 points to be assigned if a learner completes any of a set of 8 courses. And here’s the fun part…..you want them to get another 10 points if they complete another one of those 8 courses…..and so on, with a max of 80 points possible.I have not figured out a way of doing this without creating a unique badge for each course. I have another use case where it is not tied to a course. We want to be able to manually assign points and have them add up. Imagine you are handing out points for volunteer work. Some people might complete 40 hours of volunteering, others might only get an hour. But the thing they completed is the volunteer hour that’s worth 5 points. Creating a unique volunteer hour 1 through 40 (that’s 40 badges people!) is less than ideal. So I guess it’s like we do on here...you get a reply marked as the solution you get points. Every time this happens you get more of the same points. Eventually you level up. Any ideas?
Hello everyone,When you duplicate a course, you get a chance to copy along the enrollments.Has anyone used that feature? As in - does it bring along the completions as well as those that are subscribed and in progress? Or does is it set everyone to subscribed in the new course? Maybe there is an idea in this question somewheres.
Hey everyone! Since September I have been configuring the back-end in a new Docebo instance for a company that has never had an LMS before. My attention has now fully shifted to UI/UX in preparation for our Soft Launch and I would like input on a few areas. I know answers will likely vary depending on whether you were configuring an LMS for the first time at your company or transitioning from an old platform to Docebo. Did you release with the stock Docebo pages and menus, heavily customized, or a mix of both? I think some of the stock pages are fine, but others could be condensed to create a more simplified menu. If you’re particularly proud of a page you designed, and don’t mind sharing it, I would appreciate seeing it. What was your use of channels like on day one? Did you have a lot of custom channels set up with content created? Did you have experts identified and assigned to them? Were the initial experts the LMS team or had you trained others in the org on the expert functionali
We have a Widget that directs learners to the Certification tab in My Activities. I noticed it stopped working correctly and was told by support that since Docebo has added ‘legacy’ to the front of the URL (as this module must be up for an overhaul) we must do the same in our relative URLs .Does anyone know how we’re notified when ‘legacy’ has been added to a URL and also when it is removed? I don’t recall seeing anything in the Weekly Updates. Should I be looking elsewhere? And on that note, is it odd that we’d need to add ‘legacy’ to get the relative URLs to work properly? Thanks for any help!
When ever I want to get an overview of all the courses in my branch using reports (I share Docebo with other teams in my company) I also get other courses showing up even though I have selected the branch at the top under filtering. My suspicions are that it is courses not in a specific branch and just in the ‘parent’ branch. Is there a way to remove these or is the only way around this to make sure they are in a more specific branch?
Background:The last two weeks, our instructors have been reporting that the are receiving a 403 error when trying to access their courses. Our instructors are usually accessing courses from a calendar widget on their home page. Alternatively, we provide the URL to the course. Regardless of the method in which they access the training, they will get the 403 error. Our current workaround is to have the users go back to their home page and access the course again. In some cases, instructors are having to repeat this three times before they can access their training. We have tested using the My Current Tasks widget to have instructors access training, but ILTs will disappear from that widget once the training has begun (for example, if it is a 5-day training, the ILT will not be available on that widget for Day 2 of the training). My first thought as a workaround was to have them use an enrollment link - but we don’t want the instructors enrolled onto the roster.I’m trying to think of
I’m new to HTML so if this doesn’t make sense, my apologies. I need a place to store images that are referenced in HTML emails sent from the Docebo system that is accessible to all employees. Instead of putting this on SharePoint or a company site (which is difficult given how big our company is) I was wondering if there is a place to store images within the system itself? (specifically for HTML emails)
Hello! I am working with an engineer from our company’s AMS and they are handling the API push & pull integrations, so apologies ahead if I don’t explain something correctly. We are nearing the end of our setup period and are hoping to go live soon. However, we are running into a bit of a snag: Is there a webhook that exists for when a User/Learner completes a Learning Plan? For example, we sell a product called a “micro-credential.” There are often 8-12 assignments required to complete so we package it as one registration event on our site, and then I designed it as a Learning Plan within Docebo and added those 8-12 courses to the learning plan. The next step I want to happen is that our AMS updates the user’s registration record once they have “completed” the learning plan so I can track it. However, we tried to look and don’t see a webhook for something like that. We only see a webhook for when “user completes a course” Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!
We plan to offer extended access to our users who would like to have their accounts re-activated after their accounts have expired. To do this they would have to pay an extension/re-activation fee to have their account re-instated. We’re hoping to automate this by utilizing an API that changes the user’s expiration date after the user has paid the fee through Salesforce. Can this be achieved through an API?
Hello All,I am trying to use “learn/v1/courses/batch” to batch import some courses.I had three main questions and I would appreciate any thought regarding these:1) I am not sure what is accepted as “course_cover” 'success': False, 'message': 'Invalid cover image extension'2) How can I assign a course to catalog using “learn/v1/courses/batch” ?Do I need to make another request to “learn/v1/catalog/course/batch” to update the catalog?3) Which endpoint can I use to batch update some courses? does “learn/v1/courses/batch” accept only POST and new courses? Thanks
We use scorm packages extensively to meet the certification guidelines we need to follow. However we have found some concerning discrepancies between users abilities to transition from desktop to mobile (we are just using the mobile browser not the App) and retain their progress. There’s nothing more disheartening than a user watching a 2 hour course on their phone only to get to their PC and see it didn’t save and they can’t take their review questions. We have found mixed results in testing and while progress certainly can be maintained the process of it is elusive. Is there any concrete knowledge on when scorm packages update Docebo with their information so it’s retained? Does it happen when transitioning between segments of a scorm, is it when the scorm package is closed? At what point does Docebo (or the package itself) retain that information where it can be re-accessed? And is it the same for desktop and mobile? This will help determine how we structure future scorms as well as
