Sending notifications to course creator

Happy Friday all.

I’m trying to create some accountability workflows. We have a lot of Power Users with varying competencies, & I’d like to clamp down on errors.

What I would like to be able to do is create a notification that is triggered when a course is created, that is ONLY SENT TO THE COURSE CREATOR. Just a reminder to check on a couple of key items that are often missed.

I don’t see a way of doing that, but maybe I’m missing something. If anyone has any suggestions on how this could be done, I would sure be grateful.

What I might consider doing for this use case would be:

  1. Create a group of PUs with course creation privileges
  2. Create a “New Course” notification (https://help.docebo.com/hc/en-us/articles/4429113070226-Notification-events-and-conditions#Course.NewCourse)
  3. Make the trigger filters all courses and set the user group to receive it the PU Course Creation Group, and the recipients PUs with the profile you’re using.

This will send the email to all users in the group, not just the individual. I have had use cases where the team liked the security of many folks having eyes on a new course, rather than none, but that might not be the case for you.

Unfortunately, there’s no singling out course to specific users only.

If you have Docebo Connect - that would be a guaranteed pathway that only the creator would receive the email.
