The badges are too limited. We need more options to award them other than the short list for automatic assignment. For example, we wanted to create an eLearning Hero badge. It would obviously be for completing eLearning courses. Many of the ILT completions are going to be for mandatory monthly safety trainings for our manufacturing sector, and we don’t need those to be factored in the count. Nor do I want to manually enter a subset of courses or have to select all and go through 900+ courses and deselect those. Anyway, just my thoughts for our wish list. 😁

This would be a game changer for my company as well.

Can I ask what your ILT badges represent and what you mean by “factored in the count”? Like what’s the purpose of someone earning it? What does it change about the learner now that they’ve earned it? Is it just for reporting or is this part of an engagement strategy?

There are no badges for the Instructor-Led safety courses. The issue is us being able to award badges and points for NON-MANDATORY eLearning courses. Reports are used for our reporting, not badges. The badges are because most humans are pretty competitive and our folks like to see them, and see who is on the leaderboard. “Factored in the count” means you can’t separate them out in automatic assignments. It just says, “completed a course.”
