Hi Everyone

When setting up a virtual ILT session/event using an external training provider’s MS Teams link
I know in the past Learners have been able to see a live countdown when they accessed the course tile on their My Learning page and the JOIN button would appear based on a timescale set by me.

I have just set up some vILT sessions/events for next week but when I login as one of the Learners to check that everything looks as it should, there is no countdown. How soon before the start of the vILT session/event does the countdown become visible to Learners please?

I plan to send out instructions on how to access a vILT as this will be a new experience for all the Learners but didn’t want to mention the countdown if it is not visible to them.

Many thanks

Sarah

Hi @SarahBee pretty sure it shows all the time but something may have changed. Did you ask support about this? Might be worth opening a ticket.

I would set up a test example in a demo course to confirm. Then you can take screen shots to show users what to expect.

Hi @SarahBee,

You are correct that there is a relative time indicator (e.g., "The event is starting in 16 hours"), but Docebo dynamically displays this only when the event is less than 24 hours away.

As shown in the attached screenshot, events further out display a static message ("The event is scheduled for..."). Once you cross the 24-hour mark, the countdown text takes over. Finally, at the threshold you configured in your event settings (e.g., 15 minutes prior), the active Join button replaces it.

You can find more details on the learner's view here: Attending Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courses.

Hope this helps clarify!
