Hi everyone,

For those of you who already have your platforms up and running, could you share how you approached the design set-up?  Did you build the site internally, or did you work with an outside consultant?  We’re looking into redesigning our interface and would really appreciate any advice or recommendations for consultants.

Thanks!

@jmclark5594 We have done all our design set-ups ourselves by using mostly CSS.
At first we had discussion with our CSM that does he know customer who have shared their interface as sample what can be done. We got some good ideas from there which we made our own in our platform.

Also, in the eSkillsz have held some sessions where they showcase what customers have done with the help of eSkillz to customize the platform. We participated few of those sessions to see what can be done.
You can find the recordings from Docebo University.

As the possibilities are almost endless especially if you add custom CSS, you might want o approach from the perspective of the audience and plan out how much information you want to place on a page. That can help you figure out if you should display things like, all my courses and LPs, or simply have a button or launch point to that page; and so on. I usually start with a manual sketch and forgo starting with widgets so as not to limit the imagination. Once you have an idea, you can start building and decide whether CSS and HTMNL needs to come into play if you want to get fancy like adding carousels and menu bars, etc.

@Olli-Pekka Haataja, thank you for the information and eSkillz referral. I’m looking forward to exploring what they might be able to do for us.
