Hiding Course Shells from the Search in Learn

Hello Docebo Community! We recently implemented Docebo Learn LMS and as part of the implementation process, course shells for previous learning sessions and e-learning modules were created and the course completion data was migrated over for our users. We want to hide these course shells from showing up in the search on the platform, as there is no training/learning content associated with them, as it was for historical/archival purposes only. How can we do this? Thanks!!

If your users do not need to access these courses, you can place them in a catalogue they have no access to + set them “under maintenance”.

I also put them in a separate Category which I can not assign to most power users, unless they need them for reporting purposes.

If the course shells were only needed for the migration and you don't plan to enroll any new users, another option could be to archive them.

Archiving allows you to keep all completion data and continue using it for reporting purposes. However, once a course is archived, you can no longer add users to it, and the action cannot be reversed.

And archived courses won’t show up in the search anymore.
