Can power users be assigned certifications?

I have turned on the new LP & Cert tool in my sandbox environment. In my live environment, I have a workstream where I as the Superadmin have to intervein from time to time to do various tasks related to certifications because they cannot be assigned to a PU. In the new interface, I see that the UI is much improved and my thought that PUs may be able to take on the tasks they are currently asking me to do.

In the PU menu, I can assign a Certification to a PU (it appears specifically as an option now!), however I cannot add Certifications to the Profile allowing PUs to do various tasks. In short, I can assign a Certification to a PU but they cannot see it or edit it from their end. I checked if Certifications were considered a “Learning Plan” on profiles, but that did not work to allow the PU to see the Certification that was assigned to them.

Any input on this? Will this be an allowed PU Profile permission in the future?

Solved it!, Thank you for making me look closer at this @mzirnhelt

If I assign Certifications to a Category, I also have to assign the Category to that PU. Once I assigned this PU to the same category, it appeared!

What are you trying to get them access to?  For my Power Users, the Learning Plan permissions control what they can do with assigned Certifications.

Changing dates is something I have to do for them from time to time.

Your users can see Certifications? I cannot find a way to make them appear for my PUs.

@mzirnhelt  for example, here is my Profile access that I have set up to test this specific use case:

I have a single power user assigned to this profile. I have assigned him this certification as a resource:

But when I log in as this power user, nothing appears under Certifications:

That’s odd, I’d maybe reach out to support.  That’s basically how I have my folks set-up and it seems to work.  Can that test user create a certification and just not see existing ones?

Follow-up, they also have to be assigned each course that is inside of the Certification for it to even appear on their list.

@ChrisBurton when you mention Categories, did you mean Catalogues? I can’t see an option to assign either a LP or a new-style Certification to a category on my screen?
