The easiest way for me to learn from the community is to subscribe to all of the discussions/groups, etc. at the top level. This generates emails which I siphon off into a folder with email client rules to make them more manageable. I read them every day.

Over time, I’ve also gotten to recognize the expertise of various members so I go a little OG and look up their posts if I’m stuck on a topic.

Lastly, good ol’ keyword searches.

Key word search helps, but being new there is still SO MUCH information to sort through.

As the number of posts, comments, and overall content has increased; it has become a bit more difficult to sort through potential answers.  But this amount of content is a very good problem to have.

I feel like the Community search is both a blessing and a curse. I can almost always find what I’m looking for… eventually. It can take a really long time of sorting through information and posts just to get to what I need. But once I’m there, I can usually find my answers. And then other times I find what I’m looking for immediately.

A few ideas which could really help (especially new users!):

  1. I would love to see a living document where people can put in terminology from other systems and what the equivalent is in Docebo. For example, I spent half a day searching for the term “Substitutions” and then learning that in Docebo they are called “Equivalencies”. (I had just come from a company where I primarily used SuccessFactors. Other things that I found... Item is what’s called a Course Shell; Course Objects are in the CLOR. Might be useful to put out there.)
  2. Sometimes when things are being voted on, they get closed and said they are linked to other voting pages… and then those pages voting is says closed and are linked back to the post I was just on.  It can be really confusing and I never feel like I really have a resolution as to what features are up for voting, what features are being worked on, etc.
  3. A Docebo Community “Get Started” guide that lists out things you should check out, how to use the site, etc. I would love that as reference too

I think that finding what I am looking for can be a mixed bag - but often enough the search (and the quick results from the search) is really the best approach. After a few reads, I tend to zero in and get what I am looking for.

When I am looking for something I always go to the Community and usually find what I am looking for using the search bar.

I actually find it pretty easy to find things. When I’m stumped, I can always post the question and the community will help find it!

It’s usually pretty easy to find information in Community just by using the search bar if I’m looking for something specifically. Often times I’ll just check out what’s happened since the last time I logged in and scroll through to see what others are posting about. This helps spark ideas or see how others are trying to use the LMS. Of course, there’s also DMs to select people to connect which can take on a life of it’s own at Inspire or through other avenues.

I primarily use the search bar but lately I have been using the user groups more as well.

Time flies! Happy to celebrate community’s birthday but somehow, it makes me realize that I’m getting older faster than I thought!

It’s pretty easy to find what you need in our community space and I would say it’s gotten better with the dedicated space for the product roadmap. I check the weekly updates on a regular basis and release notes all the time. I do think it would be helpful if we could subscribe to updates in certain places, that way I could get an email when something new has changed or come out instead of always having to check myself. This would be especially helpful when guides have changed.

The search bar is my bestie! I’ve mostly been engaging with the community for help and answers I can’t find in the knowledge base. The search bar is really simple to use and often brings up great results. In times where the response is not quite what i’m looking for, I’ll make my search more specific or broad and get the answer I am looking for.  Often times, related posts have been linked in the comments as well which helps a lot.

While I ususally do find what I need, sometimes it does seem to take ages to find it and as people have said before me, it can always depend on how you phrase your question. However, when I do post a question, it is great that other people are so willing to help you out and give you good advice on what you are trying to achieve.

I use the search and try different prompts. The tags are very helpful too and frequently take me to areas/ideas that I may not have thought about!

I use the search first and if I know I just need a step by step, I love the ability to filter to just KB articles. It is frustrating to see many old things referenced when you want/need the newest but it’s easy enough to pass those by in a lot of cases.

I would love to be able to find all the information available based on a field name or function or functional area.

With so many members in the community it makes it easier to collaborate and align your course to similar ones in the community.

I find it somewhat easy to find what I’m looking for using the Keyword Search and Tags. I like the category topics that are used to try and organize discussions. I’m still a little unclear on which category is to get help from other admins on a complex request, or to ask others how they use a certain feature in the system. It could also be nice to have categories around certain functionality in the system, like Learning Evaluation.

I can typically find what I’m looking for in the community; however, it does sometimes take a few modifications to the keywords or search terms I use similar to what others have shared. I appreciate the knowledge, tips, and willingness to assist that everyone brings to the community!

I’ve always felt that the search was fine in Docebo Community. And the different sections can be helpful when browsing a bit more casually. But the best part is that if you can’t find an answer to your question by searching, you just need to, well, ask! Almost always, you’ll get one or more answers to your question, even if it’s not always the answer you were hoping for.

I’m fairly new to the community but so far I’ve found information easy to find. Between the search bar and having topics suggested to me when I’m about to write a question, I’ve had 50% of my questions answered. Whats great is even if an answer to my specific question isn’t there, the community has been very responsive and helpful!

Sometimes, I am unable to come across exactly what I am looking for but the system does a pretty good job of narrowing it down and I can usually just reply to a thread that is similar in concept. The community always picks a “Best Answer” which I appreciate.

Finding answers is pretty easy, I might need to ask the question a different way, but I can usually find the solution or confirm what I’m attempting to do is possible/not possible via a quick search of the Community.

Mostly I start with the search and then go from there. The key is using keywords to find what is needed.

Leveraging tags is awesome to when they are available.

As we being to use this more, I think organizing/location of topics threads could be better or getting alerts here if someone responds to a thread. Make it clear on how to follow a post as well. Does liking do that? Or is there another way to follow along.

I agree with what many have said: the search bar is a great starting place.

Some of the categories feel duplicative (e.g. “Product Q&A” and “Product Tips and Tricks”). I understand the intent, but it only works in practice when users are diligent about where they are posting. To be fair, when you’re in a moment of need, you want to throw a question up quickly and not worry about which box it falls into.

Admittedly, I’m a perpetrator here. Sometimes I’ve found myself posting in “Superadmins” because that’s my user role, but “Product Q&A” has more members so I cross-post to get a wider perspective. Sorry, Erin!

It’s not very easy for me to find specific things in the communities. I’ve had mild success with searching and the topics.

Most of the time, I use the Ideas section, or I’m coming in just to browse.
