It’s May which means it’s time to celebrate Docebo Community!
To all of you who have joined us this past year (all 2016 of you!), you may be wondering why we’re celebrating but for the rest of you, you most likely know …
Docebo Community is turning FOUR

While it’s official as of May 17, we’ll be celebrating all month long because...why not, right?
Before I go any further, though (yes, I know I say it every single year), this community is what it is because of ALL of you. Every single member that engages and participates helps make this community such an incredibly valuable place. So, I have to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for all of your contributions and the time you invest in being part of this community and helping your fellow members.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Now for the FUN!
Throughout May, you’ll have the opportunity to earn the Docebo Community 4th Birthday badge which gets you 1 ballot into the BIRTHDAY DRAW for the chance to win one of FOUR prizes ( see what we did there?).
Good things come in...FOUR! Or, at least, this month they do. We’re making FOUR a big part of our celebrations this month. Seeing as there are four Mondays in May, each Monday we’ll be publishing a new birthday post (starting May 5) and all you have to do is reply to the post with an answer to the question. Easy, eh?
Here’s how it works:
- Your very first reply that answers the prompted question in one of the birthday posts will earn you the birthday badge and 1 ballot into the draw.
- For every additional birthday post you reply to, you’ll earn 1 extra ballot. So, if you reply to two of the four birthday posts, you’ll have the birthday badge and 2 ballots. If you reply to all 4 birthday posts, you’ll have the badge and 4 ballots into the BIRTHDAY DRAW.
- If there are multiple replies by a member on the same birthday post, only the first reply will be counted for a ballot. Additional ballots will not be given for multiple replies on the same post.
But wait, there’s more
If you attend our fun virtual birthday social on Friday, May 16, you’ll receive 4 additional ballots into the birthday draw PLUS the chance to win one of FOUR prizes that we’ll be giving away during the virtual social only.
Ok, I’ve delayed it long enough!
Here are the FOUR prizes up for grabs in the 4th BIRTHDAY DRAW:
- Winner 1 = $500
- Winner 2 = $250
- Winner 3 = $125
- Winner 4 = $125
Please note: all amounts are in USD and winners will have the option to select a tech gift of equivalent value from a provided list or a gift card for the amount.
Important Draw Details:
- To earn the birthday badge and at least 1 ballot into the Birthday Draw, simply answer the question in one of the Monday Birthday posts.
- Answers can be provided on any of the weekly birthday posts until May 31.
- If you drop in to the virtual birthday social, you’ll get 4 additional ballots into the Birthday Draw.
- The maximum number of ballots that can be earned is 8.
Dates to remember:
May 2 - Birthday month announcement
May 16 - Virtual Birthday Social Event
June 4 - Birthday draw and FOUR winners announced
We look forward to all of the fun throughout May to celebrate Docebo Community turning FOUR and we’re so excited to see how many of you will earn this year’s Birthday Badge and extra ballots for a chance to WIN!
If you are interested in taking a peek at some of the community metrics and key highlights from this past year, we’ve shared them below.
Metrics (Totals)
Year 1 | Year 2 | Year 3 | Year 4 | |
Total Registered Members | 2749 | 5294 | 7398 | 9482 |
# of Topics Created | 2705 | 3971 | 3174 | 2634 |

Replies to Questions | 1022 | 5642 | 4687 | 4630 |
Question w/Best Answer | 445 | 634 | 889 | 426 |
% Answered by Peer | 86.2% | 92.6% | 95.2% | 86.15% |
Self-service score | 3.1 | 4.84 | 7.69 | 13.28 |
In our fourth year, we’re proud to still see steady registration numbers. We’re not far from hitting 10k members and we’re getting really excited. Also, it’s clear that many of the metrics are trending downward but the reason for this is there is so much content in community (that’s a good thing!). Less topics need to be created because members are finding what they need before having to create a new post. The proof here is in the last metric, the Self-service Score. This has almost doubled in the past year and it showcases the ratio of visitors that viewed helpful content versus those that submitted a support ticket. So, what does this mean? Essentially, for every 1 person that submitted a support ticket, 13 people found the information they needed via the community
Additionally, I’d like to call out the Question w/Best Answer. This metric dropped significantly in the past year and we’re looking for your help to get this back up. If you submit a question, it’s important to mark one of the replies as the Best Answer. If you don’t think your question can have one best answer, then your post type is likely a Conversation rather than a Question. If you’d like a reminder on post types and how to mark a Best Answer, please check out this post. If we can work together to mark the Best Answers to Questions, our % Answered by Peer will also rise. Let’s get this metric back to over 90% this year!
Lastly, here’s a look at some additional key highlights from our fourth year!
