The tour tools really do a nice job by pointing out whats new. That step by step is very clever (I swear I saw a demo of something like it as part of the companion PDG group). Wouldn’t it be awesome to point out the new widgets that we add to all of our own experiences?
The story - I have a bunch of videos that introduce people to the platform and many point at the hamburger tools for navigation. I was at the edge of a rabbit hole with adjusting those videos for the 99% of people...I have been busy announcing to our admins of the new experience showing up….when i have flicked the switch to navigation switch to fully realize oh...wait the hamburger menu IS still there for everybody else.
Thats good. No egg on my face...rabbit hole averted.
BUT - I really really want to have the ability to expand and to configure that tour tool! I want to call out the experiences for groups to what they see on any page! I want to have them go down their own LXP in this really neat way that I would usually have to make a video about. I would love to not emphasize the new search tool and make that an optional stop.
What says you?
I hope this note gets someone’s attention that also only engaged this because it is being forced at us tomorrow….
