Learning Plans & Certifications

I believe this is a bug has anyone else come across this? Here’s our setupLearning Plan 1 COURSE ACOURSE B (Prerequisite Course A)  COURSE C (Prerequisite Course B)Learning Plan 2COURSE BCOURSE C (Prerequisite Course B) Learners who are only enrolled into Learning Plan 2 are getting “prerequisites not met for Course B. The prerequisites from Learning Path 1 are effecting Learning Plan 2. To make sure this is what was happening I removed the prereqs from Learning Plan 1 and this resolved it. I personally don’t think that the prereqs from one learning plan should affect the other. Has anyone else had this issue ? 

Hello all!Did a recent update remove Learning Plans from Global Seach results?I see the welcome update of being able to exclude specific items types from Global Serach results, in particular Assets and Training Material.  However, I cannot get Learning Plans to be searchable.  I have not excluded anything with the new settings.  My users can’t find Learning Plans.  I’m a super admin and can’t either and I’m using the exact names and key words.Learning plans do return as search results from catalog and other course pages.Was this an expected update and I missed it?

Hi there,We have many courses set up where the initial course is long, and does not need to be repeated, but a shorter ‘refresher’ course needs to be repeated yearly.  These have been set up early this year (newbies to Docebo!) as being equivalent courses, with recertification linked to the refresher.What I’m finding is that as soon as someone hits ‘renew’ on the certification, and chooses a session for the shorter refresher course, the system is saying that the course is now complete, and renews the certification for another year, before the user even attends the session or completes any training.Having read other past ‘conversations’ I believe this is because of the course equivalencies, is this correct? Suggestions on the simplest solution to this? Should I stop using the equivalencies function?Any help appreciated!!

We are a NASBA CPE sponsor and issue CPE certificates for many of our courses (not all). We have compliant certificate templates setup in Docebo and set those as the default template for eligible courses.Problem:Per NASBA’s directives, enrollees must complete the course within 12 months of enrolling in order to receive credit. We presently adhere by setting the course validity dates to end 12 months post-enrollment. But we’d like learners to be able to access these courses forever, just without being issued a certificate after the 12 month period.Any ideas on how to configure Docebo to make this work? We do have Docebo Connect, if that is an option.

Hi everyone,We have recently switched on the function for the system to manage our SSL certificates as we had issues uploading our custom certificate. Does anyone know how long the certificate lasts when it’s managed by the platform as I'd like to be aware when it’s due to automatically renew.Thank you 

Hey folks! I have looked through the KB and the community and I cannot find a straight answer for this.Scenario: We need every employee to retake their compliance certification every December - even new employees. So, if an employee starts in September, they need to take the certification in September and then again in December.With the Cert + Retraining app, it seems that we can only set this up to require the employee to re-certify every x days, not necessarily every December.Is there something I’m missing here? Is there a workaround for this that isn’t cumbersome? Thanks for your thoughts!

I need to create refresher trainings for 8 different groups and courses need to renewed annually, biannually and Triannually.Need to understand the process with Certification and Retraining App. If the users are renewing the courses, will the old data get lost or archived.

I’m trying trying to implement annual compliance training for staff that will renew on the same calendar date for all staff each year.  The problem I'm having is that when the Learning Plan is assigned, we’re giving staff 90 days to complete it.  I was going to use certifications so it will auto-renew next year, but I can’t figure out how to give all staff the same due date for renewal since they have such a large range for completion this year.  If I set the renewal for 365 days, I understand that will be from the date each person completes it this year, which is not what we want.  Any suggestions?

We primarily use Learning Plans to manage training, but a key limitation is that when managers view an employee’s card or run a Learning Plan report, the individual courses within the plan are not visible.This makes it difficult for managers to quickly assess which courses have been completed and which are still outstanding. Having visibility into the specific courses within a Learning Plan—along with their completion status—would significantly improve oversight and support more effective follow-up with employees.

Hello! I’m trying to update certification records in our system. Here’s the scenario:We currently have 1 certification (DOT General Awareness). We need to split the records into 2 (DOT General Awareness; DOT Function Specific) What I’ve already done: Audited the system to pull a report of existing certified Team Members.  Split the report into 2 (to separate out the two records).  I uploaded the new certification record and awarded the Function Specific certification. My Question: What is the best way to remove the users who have DOT General Awareness, without removing the course completion (the lessons are from the CR as those are pre-reqs for the new certification)?My thought is that I need to create a new course for the DOT General Awareness (as anyone in the existing course is being assigned that certification), then I would upload the files and add the certification to the new course and remove it from the old course, but I wanted some insights from other experts before I do it in

Is it possible in a certificate to add the estimated average time from the course details? I see the short code for the actual time it took for completion, but we need average estimated time instead. 

Hello! We recently had an update to one of our learning plans that drive a certification (Forklift training). When we add the course, even if we don’t recalculate enrollments, it will still assign the course to Team Members who have completed the LP, which to my understanding is the intended functionality. We can’t have this as we 1 - don’t want all existing certified team members taking this course and 2 - can’t have incomplete courses on the team members profile due to audit requirements of having all assigned training completed. What I need is to have a new learning plan where the additional course is added to it and team members will take that new learning plan when they renew. The LP has to stay with the certification or we lose the tracking. Additionally, we need to keep the existing users enrolled in the LP or we lose that. Has anyone figured out a good way to do this? We’re creating a learning plan for users where some have learning disabilities. It’s quite a few clicks to get to your certificate with a lot of visual clutter. We’re thinking of creating a how-to video with instructions, but I’d prefer to just give learners a link to claim their certificate or send a pdf via email.I only found a way to directly link to My activities > learning plans, but there’s still that “hidden” three dot menu that only appears on hover.Is there any way to link straight to the certificate, no extra clicks required?

Hello! We’re exploring the capabilities of the eCommerce pack in Docebo. For anyone using it in any capacity, I’d love to get your thoughts on the overall experience. I also have a specific question. Can you add “free” content to a paid learning plan? We want to create a paid learning plan that would include eLearning modules, an ILT session, and a final exam. It’s really the ILT and certification that we are charging for, but the eLearning courses need to be there as prework.  Learning plan example:eLearning #1 eLearning #2 eLearning #3 ILT Session Exam The ILT and exam would only live in the paid catalog/learning plan, but the eLearning would live in a free catalog. Is this possible with the ecommerce pack? What is the expected behaviour for a course that lives in both a free catalog and a paid learning plan?

Hello everyone,May I know if the Community Hub is made available in Go Learn? I checked the system but could not find how to add the page into Go Learn. I scoured through the Knowledge Base and this portal to see if this is doable but couldn’t find any articles on it.Is it because this feature is not available on the mobile app, or am I missing something?Thanks!

We are in the process of creating learning plans and want learners to have to complete courses in a sequential order.   How do I Iock a course until the learner has completed the preceding course?  Can we assign a timeline to each course (eLearning and ILT) in which the learner has to complete it?  (.e. first week, within 30 days, 90 days, etc.) Any help is appreciated.   Cheers! 

Is there a way to archive enrolments within a learning plan in the same way you can a course? It would be great to be able to remove leavers/in active users from these as the archive enrolment in the course does not work if they were enrolled via a learning plan. It would also be great to be able to filter/ archive etc on the certifications screen.  ThanksLucy 

On the Learning plan cover, it tells you how many courses are in the LP, and the total duration of all the courses added up.The duration format is Hours and minutes. Would it be possible to select days, hours instead?E.g Instead of saying 72 hours, say 3 days. 

Does anyone have any suggestions for designing certificate templates that need to be able to print on standard paper in multiple countries?  My certificates are currently designed for Letter-sized paper as is standard in the US.  However, multiple of my international offices are starting to use our LMS more and more, and would like a way to download a certificate from a course that prints nicely on A4.  I’m not interested in creating multiple copies of every course that we offer just to have a dedicated A4-sized certificate.  Does anyone have any tips or tricks for a certificate design that prints well on both sizes?  Or a creative work-around to have the certificate choose the A4 or Letter sized certificate dynamically based on the learner’s location?  Thanks!

Anyone currently using Qstream? If so, do you have any insights or ideas on how to implement microlearning with spaced repetition or recurring timing within Docebo?Any tips or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

I want to add a course to our New Hire learning plan.Users who joined the organization in July or after should be enrolled in this course. Users who joined before then should not be enrolled in the course.A branch/LP enrollment rule currently assigns this learning plan to our root branch + descendants.How would you do this? (Should I let the existing enrollment rule fire, then manually unenroll people who joined prior to July? Or is there a better way?)Thank you!

We want to issue a certificate to users the first time they take the course and not allow them to access the content without reissuing a new completion date on their certificate. Would the best solution having a training test material and have that as the end object marker so that the course completion date is set to that date?  Or would accessing the additional training material affect the completion date?  I’m currently testing this theory, but I’m wondering if anyone has already set something up like this. I do want learners to be able to access course content after they’ve completed and passed the course.I do not want them to be issued a new completion date.

My organization delivers training to employees, customers, partners, and prospects. We provision employees through our HRIS system, but we lack a formal integration for our external users, which leads to manual and cumbersome workflows. I'm curious to know how folks in the community are provisioning in customers, partners, and prospects. I have some ideas, but I'm interested to learn what is common and best practice among the experts here.
