Gamification Chat: Who has some fun/silly/interesting badges/names for badges going?
I think the title probably explains it all, curious what folks are doing for badges, and most curious about the “not everyday” ones. The interesting, the silly ones, maybe some internal jokes to see if anyone gets them…..Anyone doing these kinds of things?
Is there a good way to "fake" a 4k monitor or a 3500x1440 ultrawide monitor?
I want to see what the site looks like and edit css for larger monitors than what I have and use Is there a good way to do this without simply buying a 4k monitor? I don’t really need one other than for testing particularly. I suppose I’d also want to see not just how CSS works and applies but how layout works and how graphics look - which MIGHT require an actual device. Macbook pro is 2560x1600 but I don’t know a lot about the mac-pc divide. I’ve seen screenshares of 4k monitors on zoom and the pages are very narrow with massive white spaces to the left and right.
ChatGPT Course Descriptions
Here’s some sample outputs from https://chat.openai.com/ . They end up being very similar, has anyone had luck getting more varied outputs, perhaps with a different AI? Also obviously I can’t use the one-on-one copy for video courses. As open-sourced AI tools get better this year, I’d love to see “generate description from title” and “generate thumbnail from title” built in to Docebo. write a description for a course named "Improve your Time Management Skills with Debbie Maier""Improve your Time Management Skills with Debbie Maier" is a course designed to help individuals learn effective strategies for managing their time and increasing productivity. Led by experienced time management coach Debbie Maier, this course will provide participants with practical tools and techniques to better plan their days, prioritize tasks, and make the most of their time.Throughout the course, Debbie will cover topics such as setting goals, creating a daily schedule, and managing distractions. Little blue check marks in self-paced learning can be deceiving
Does anyone receive emails that a user completed their self-paced learning; however, it’s not showing marked as completed even though there’s a little blue check mark? When you hover over those little blue check marks they say “activity in progress” or “activity completed”. I am ALWAYS explaining this. You would think that those blue check marks mean it’s completed. Any suggestions or should I submit an idea that they are deceiving and maybe Docebo can add another little icon that is applicable to the actual status?
StableDiffusion (and other AI tools) for thumbnail generation
Currently I am using FreePik (paid not free version) and illustrator to make thumbnails.I would love to instead use stablediffusion to generate thumbnails and in the future hero images In particular, we like images that look more like scenes - the two on the left. There aren’t enough topical images like those two and I often have to use more generic clipart like the two on the right. I also spend a lot of time adding diversity to clip-art which presumably stable diffusion could do from the get-go. Is anyone successfully using AI to generate their thumbnails? Happy to pay for a good tool!
Free Audio Cleanup Software: Adobe Podcast

Call All Instructional Designers - Website Review as Learning Content?
Among all of the options available to us for presenting content to learners, I am wondering how much success some of you may be having with quick and simple solutions that link source content to a website.Example - internal product introduction for new hires by driving them to the (extremely well designed and informative) company website, or introducing a new process to project managers by driving them to a knowledge base site where the processes are well documented. The idea is to leverage existing content and not reinvent the wheel. For those who do this, do you create an assessment along with it to check knowledge and make sure they have actually gone to the site and reviewed the information? And have you had positive results with this method?TIA!

How do you instruct your users not to use the browser breadcrumb bar (back and forward etc)
I’m getting a lot of help tickets about this in our new rolloutHow do you explain this to your users? I want a way to say it that conveys the same meaning as “the browser back and forward buttons are broken and don’t work, so don’t try to use them please” that sounds better...

Rise Courses | Overwrite of Training Material Part II
So - I asked this question a little while ago and answered my own question:Now we did some structural changes and we landed up with a dreaded “white screen of death”.(It blinked content is loading and then never loads).I tried a few different times to ensure that I wasnt cray cray.I even went and changed over to another version.I opened a ticket. But now I ask YOU - the folks that work with Rise 360 and other external authoring tools...you have folks that are in progress and completed that are hitting that white screen of death - what DO YOU DO?I will tell you that I can reset the training progress for peeps (cough painful) that have started and have completed - that? seems to work.I will reiterate - I put in a ticket.(squeak - help),-Dan
Help (please)! Has anyone made an extended-enterprise enablement guide/pdf?
I want to tell my EE customers how the various colors are applied to the platform, in particular. This is all that’s in the KB: Customizing ColorsIn the Colors section, you can select the colors of each kind of font in your platform. Enter the HEX codes into the corresponding text boxes, or select colors using the color wheels. Has anyone made a guide to these colors?
Ideas on how to hide the In Progress number-circle
This is a long shot, but here goes:We don’t want what’s circled here the IN PROGRESS and number. Does anyone have any CSS code to remove the progress number? Or can you tell me where it’s located? I’m able to hide the “IN PROGRESS” but not the number. Here’s the story:The above used to ONLY display ILTs. However, the second an ILT begins, the link to join disappears, removes itself from the leaners’ home page. So, if a learner shows up 5 - 10 or more minutes late, too bad, so sad, there is no way of joining the live event.Docebo recommended that I select this in my Task List widget: But I don’t want them to see their In progress or Learning Paths. It’s already displayed in another section of their home page for better direction and clarification. I just want learners to see their ILT ILT Event’s ‘join session now’ to stick around until AFTER the event is over, then it can disappear.Latecomers need to be able to join a live event.Any suggestions out there?
