What are some things your learners like about Gamification?

Hello Community - We are preparing to officially launch Gamification! Does anyone have any feedback for us on the following?What are some things your learners have really liked about it? What do you feel has engaged them to interact with the platform the most? What don’t you particularly like and how have you worked around it? Thank you! Why does my Power User Get a 403 error when trying to enroll learners in ILT?

The PU in question has all of the necessary permissions: They also have the relevant branch and course assigned to them. They are an instructor in the session. When trying to enroll users into the course from here it redirects to a 403. Is this a bug? The chat agents have been thoroughly unsuccessful in identifying the issue.

When setting up SAML SSO, do new accounts get created?

We are starting Extended Enterprise for a client who wants SSO and plans on tying it to Azure. There are hundreds of existing users in their branch. My question: once we activate SSO for their instance of EE, will all of the users simply be updated? Or will a new set of users mirroring the existing set get created? Also, whichever way this works, why? As always, appreciate this community!

Approving Observation Checklists Once a Manager is no Longer Active

I’m hoping the hivemind can help me out here…We have been having moderate success using Observation Checklists as part of leader onboarding, but I’ve run into a situation that I can’t find a solution to. Our checklist is set up for employee to complete, but then it needs to be approved by their manager. I have a manager who is no longer with the company, thus is inactive in the system. This has left the observation checklist for the employee in limbo as the checklists do not move to their new manager.Any solutions for this?

Adding text to the login page

I need to add verbiage above the username and password to say ‘All Internal Employees, please click the SAML SSO button to login to your training. All external users to Panasonic please enter your username and password. ’… Or something link that.  I can’t find any language or guide to show where to put this to add this type of text. Thanks

Reusable accounts/Scorm courses

Good Monday morning, Hivemind …I have a group that wants to offer training to an external organization “with thousands” of potential users. This tenant in our extended enterprise uses SSO for its learners, and the thought of managing this many users is daunting for them (understandably). They don’t need to track any of the participation or course completion information.I know that I can create a limited number of accounts and provide the username/passwords to the organization. I understand that the course shell shows the “resume” or “start again” buttons, as does the SCORM file. I understand that Docebo doesn’t really have the concept of a “multiple users” account.Does anyone know how to stop SCORM from doing any tracking? I’d love to present the course again and again as if it had never been viewed. Thanks for any ideas …KM

Pop ups on mobile app: How can I get SCORM files starting with "Open a new window" buttons to play on mobile?

I’m at a new company and migrating their LMS.  Almost all our courses begin as “open a new window” buttons for historical reasons.  There are thousands of these courses.  Can we straight-up not use any of these in the mobile app? They open the popups in the default iPhone browser (chrome in my case), not within the Docebo app (we paid for branded mobile but I assume go.learn is the same code)

Importing "Direct Manager" and "Is Manager" via SSO

Good morning Guys, We have a question here on how to potentially handle.  In SSO it seems you can not pull over the “Is Manager” field and the4 “Direct Manager” field.    Both of those are key to making this work for the client.   As you may know I am all about work arounds.  The question is:  As we are mapping fields, is there a way to take an additional field from AD and map it to the “Is Manager” and then an additional field to the “Direct Manager” field in Docebo?    I would assume that you should be able to do this but I wanted to validate this with you. How to download certificates from expired courses without using the "my activities" tab?

I would like students to be able to open their courses/learning plans to download certificates even after access is expired. Is there a way to do this without using the “Soft Deadline” feature? I don’t want students to be able to complete unfinished courses after expiration. I just want them to be able to download certificates without having to go through the “My Activities” tab.

No back button on pages linked via Custom Content Widget

Wanted to share a little bit that was discovered on our platform about seeing a back button on pages that are linked from within the platform.We have various pages linked from within our platform, and it was brought to our attention that some pages had a back button and others did not. After further investigation, we discovered that all the pages that were accessed via a custom content widget for some reason did not have a back button, while pages were accessed via linked image, or a link on an html widget did have a back button. See example below:Turns out the issue is from using the full destination URL in the custom content widget.  If the full destination URL was in the widget, the back button is not present on the page when accessed from that widget.  If you use the relative url, (for example: “/learn/catalog/view/4”) in the custom content widget, you will see the back button on the page that you are navigated to. I have a support ticket open about possibly getting this fixed, as

Power User Approvals & eCommerce

We use both course approvals and eCommerce as our client mainly sells courses. We found that there is a gap between these 2 process when using other payment methods (not credit cards). We are using the Wire Transfer payment option to imitate a “bill me” option.We found that if the eCommerce transaction is not manually marked as “paid” before the power user approves the course request, the end user has access to the course content without if being paid first. This is not critical as they are eventually billed (we export our eCommerce transactions to a 3rd party accounting system) however if the power user declines the request, we (the admin team) have no way to know this was declined, modified, etc. without first having to reach out to the power users or looking up each transaction (which can be very time consuming). Has anyone run into similar issues? If so, I’d lobe your thoughts and tips on how you are using those 2 process today. If you need more details, please let me know. Thank y

What is the best way to maintain course completion records for retired users?

Hello!I support a large group of volunteers which has high annual turnover (about half). We consider each year of volunteers as a cohort.  We have a couple of different required courses - one course is required only every 4 years and two courses are required annually for all members. Volunteers who leave do sometimes come back to the organization within the 4 years, so they would not be required to retake the training until they hit that 4 year mark. They would be required to retake the other trainings.When a volunteer leaves the organization, we deactivate their account.My questions:If I unenroll people from any of the courses, is a record of the course completion maintained? If I do not unenroll people from the courses, but just deactivate their accounts, are notifications sent to deactivated users (we have a notification that reminds people to complete these courses - I do not want to send notifications to people no longer associated with us)? Where is the "suffix URL" field when adding a URL to an allowe xAPI domain?

I’m trying to understand how to implement xAPI in Docebo and in the KB article Uploading xAPI (formerly Tin Can API) Content, I read the following about setting up allowed domains in the advanced settings: When you have added the domain, press Add. It will then appear in the list below. Repeat the procedure to add up to 20 external URLs. By adding only the domain, you can upload as many xAPI training materials as you want, without limits or restrictions, because for each domain that you insert in the xAPI (Tin Can) External Content field, you can then specify the file name and extension in the xAPI training material’s configuration. ...…. If you select a domain that doesn’t contain the name and extension of the file, the Suffix URL field will appear below the Select URL/Domain field. New Course Request Form?

Hi everyone!In our environment, we have created specific catalogs to house our courses, a large portion of which come from the Content Marketplace. However, we don’t plan on offering access to the full catalog of courses. Instead, we plan on discussing course requests with requestors before importing them into our environment. One way I thought we could streamline this is through some sort of form inside our environment.Has anyone tried to do something similar? If yes, how did you set it up?Thanks!

Setting up SAML SSO for an Extended Enterprise

I have done everything correctly by passing the metadata between Azure AD and Docebo, matching up the Unique Identifier field, uploading SSL certificates for my test domain, and I still get the same error:The expert my AM gave me has no idea why its not working. IT has no idea. I’m at a loss!

Link for Teams

We want to get the MS Teams link for an event so we can share it if anything goes wrong. Is this possible?If not, could you create a meeting with Teams in Outlook and pull that link to put it into the event as a "custom tool". The person has been paired on Teams. (Also, if this does work, does the person have to be paired? That would save so much time in trying to get random people paired for one event a year).

Course report export limitation

We have an assessment with 200+ questions that went out to 800+ employees. When I use the Course Report tool to generate an item analysis of the training material, the export does not generate a complete report. The export creates a file with about 125 of the questions and cuts off at the same point every time. To export the entire data set, I must deselect the first 125 questions and then run the report for the remaining items. Does the Course Report tool have a fixed limitation regarding the number of test items, or is it more a cap on the size of the data export? Is there a way to adjust the limitation? Here’s the path I am using to generate the report:Course > Reports > Training Materials Statistics >  Select the Test > Export as Excel or CSV

Best Practices for Proactive System Management

As a system administrator, I often get bogged down in responding to issues instead of taking a more proactive approach for preventing problems, but I want to change that.  What are some of your suggestions for best practices around ongoing system maintenance?  Here are a few that I thought of:Ensure that data feeds are running smoothly.  Review error logs and work with appropriate parties to resolve issues. Follow up on outstanding tickets. Regularly review user information for the following: Missing data  Duplicate user profiles Admin Accounts – Review admin accounts to confirm that admin level access is still warranted.  Power Users – Review power user access to ensure that permissions are appropriate for the User’s role.

Admin Dashboard - can anyone define Sessions and Enrollments?

I was hoping you could define something for me, I’ve been trying to find the answer and have not received any responses.On the Admin DashboardCan you define SESSION and ENROLLMENTS?Is a session each time someone logs in? Or is it each time someone completes a training item?I hope Course Completion is self-explanatory.Are Enrollments NEW people logging in for the first time? Or is the 303 Weekly the AVERAGE?We do NOT enrolled 300 people each week. It is a stretch for me to believe that is even an average.Or is this UNIQUE Users who have accessed the system this week? No that can’t be it as the number for today wouldn’t be 0.  I would really like to know where that 303 weekly number comes from. I can’t imagine that a typical week we enroll more than 100 new users. Sure there might be spikes if I run an update from an AZURE report, but I only do that maybe once a Quarter. And I’m sure there hasn’t been anything in the past couple weeks to spike this number over 300.I would like to start s

Changing Catalog Image Aspect Ratio via CSS?

Hey there! Upper management would like us to make Docebo look more like our new AEM-built websites...their main focus is to have the Docebo catalog images have the same look and feel as carousel images being used on our websites.  Docebo’s catalog images are 2:1, while our AEM website carousels support 1:1. Is there a way to adjust how Docebo’s catalog images are displayed so we can accommodate management's request? The vertical, rectangular catalog cards are fine, we’d just need to make the card images square versus elongated horizontally.  Thank you in advance for your insights and expertise!

Course Training Material | Test Visibility

Hi All, Has anyone had the need to limit the visibility of the answers of a test on a course? Example: A department has a course that contains a test. The answers to the test would be considered sensitive information and not all power users are privy to the information but all power users still need access to report profile permissions. How would we limit who could access the test answers on the course two a few power users but still allow the ability to access the course to all of the learners who need to take the course & answer the questions on the test? Thank you,Courtney
