We’re using Docebo to deploy some compliance training across our workforce (approximately 1,800 FTEs). In addition to courses, there will be a policy acknowledgment that legal wants to deploy using Adobe Sign, rather than the native e-signature app. Our intent is that the policy acknowledgement be the final training material in the course, and we’ll use and HTML training material to direct users to the signature page. My concern is that an HTML training material marks complete when a user opens it. Ideally, I’d like to build a verification step where the course shows as “in progress” until a Power User verifies that the acknowledgment was signed in Adobe Sign. Here’s the setup:I have a learning plan with a single course in it.There are no days of validity settings in the learning plan.There are no days of validity settings in the course.I have an enrollment rule mapped to the learning plan and enrollment days of validity in the enrollment rule. If I enroll a user (chrometester) through the enrollment rule, for that user, at the course level, it attaches start and end days of validity. It also has start and end days of validity at the learning plan level.If I enroll a user (firefoxtester) manually into the learning plan and select enrollment days of validity through that screenflow there is no course level enrollment day of validity set. There is only learning plan level days of validity.Here is a screenshot of the end result at the course level.

I have always been worried about a system that is too chatty.When I came to work for my current org? I found that the one largest learning system instance had a user enrolled notification was essentially set on full blast with all courses triggering notifications (that I eventually helped to shut down). To many it felt horrible, if you enrolled yourself, you got an email. If someone else enrolled you? You got an email. If the course was part of a learning plan?? A person got two or more emails. Working at places 10X the size of where I am currently at makes me know that larger organizations dont stand for it and will even cap system notifications if they seem like they are being spoofed.IMHO - that's not the way to configure things. I truly believe in the mantra that “less is more”. It is more powerful when you deploy targeted notifications to campaigns and onboarding programs. I just read that….Meta said it was scrapping its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts due to a "shifting legal and policy landscape"….which invariably has an impact in our domains as other big companies get on board with this.I have survived waves of change by staying closer to the compliance and onboarding sides of training and learning. But I believe that we should hold onto our hats for the next few. Waves are going to get choppy and rougher to ride out.Let me know what you think.

Why is CC not available when watching videos in Docebo University? This is an accessibility that I need, and it makes watching the recorded videos incredibly difficult. If it is available, can you please provide instructions to turn them on within DU?

We’d like to add closed captions to all our English videos to improve accessibility and help non-native speakers understand them. Recently I’ve been looking for enhancements and efficiencies on our pages and menus.  I am currently in the brainstorming process of what to put in our “pancake” menu (you know the three little lines in the upper left corner! Here is our current list, but I wonder how everyone else formats this menu! 

Would love to see if there are any best practices out there that are less manual than what we are currently doing. Use case: We use course and enrollment validity periods to manage access to courses by learners for some e-Learning and most ILT/VILT courses. Once the enrollment or course validity period comes to an end, there is a “lock” symbol that appears on the course for that learner or, for ILTs/VILTs the course card shows expired but the course continues to be accessible, if I am not mistaken. From a business perspective, once the enrollment or course is expired, that course is no longer relevant for the learner to take. As a result it needs to be removed from their “My Courses and Learning Plans” area. Our Solution: We currently have to review all courses monthly. For courses/enrollments that have expired, we have to manually archive the users. Then, rename, unpublish the course, and move it to an “Archive” folder. Then, r

I get that LPs are another way to bundle courses (that’s the obvious difference for me), but I struggle trying to explain why one would use one over the other.Has anyone put together a Pro and Con list for each? Admin use, end user experience, reporting, etc.?I have bits and pieces, but wondering what you all think. Thanks in advance.

 The way our customers will earn points would be through completing courses and learning plans. How do I decide what each badge is worth points-wise and then how do I decide what each reward should cost in points? Can anyone share an example of what a 15, 30 or 60 min course is worth in points? Can anyone share what their rewards are and how many points it is for those rewards? I know through watching a webinar that L’Oreal uses their own products as the rewards; however, I do not have a product that is tangible. Is it better to offer e-gift cards or a tangible product we would send? Does anyone use the gamification points to purchase raffle tickets for an item for a raffle, say every month, instead of a “Rewards Marketplace?” This is what we are currently doing in another platform that we are transitioning from. Any tidbits you wish you knew when building your gamification?

Hello all,I am looking at ways to support an instructor to email attendees. I can see this function is only assigned to a power user (!) and trying to look at ways around it. For example exporting the session enrolments on an exell doc; or would be useful to see the session date rather than “enrolment” date when I look at the whole course enrolment. Any way around this that you can advice?Much appreciated.

Hi. I’m fairly new to Docebo and am looking for help. Is there a way to assign resources to a profile instead of an individual user. For example, let’s say I have profiles by country and want The US trainers to access different courses that the Mexican trainers, etc. As far as I can tell, If I create a new poweruser ID, I need to assign the resources individually, rather that assign the profile which would include the needed courses. I hope this makes sense! Thanks for your help.

Hi All,We are looking at starting to use the LMS badges with gamification and I was wondering if anybody measures the sucess of using the badges? If so, what metrics are you using and is it working? Are you using them for course completion, visibility(if sharing to social media) motivation etc.Thanks!

I need to remove or rename the Expiraton Date column. We don’t use validity dates for courses and this is confusing our customers with their certification expiry. I found the course-management-grid_c4 column easily enough and can apply a display:none, but this only hides the heading, which moves all the other headings left. The content column remains intact so all the remaining fields are misaligned. If it’s not possible to hide the column the other option is to rename it to something not resembling expiry, but I haven’t been able to rename the label. Thanks in advance.

Hi!I can't figure something out with Skill Management. Does anybody know if it is possible to force assign skills to learners so that they don’t have the popup window to choose skills from? We’d like to be able to disable the suggested jobs list. Basically, in the usecase I came across, we need to have a very limited set of skills, already assigned to the users, so they can auto-evaluate their skill level only on those skills. When we try, there is always the possibility for users to add random jobs and then it populates with irrelevant skills… I’m not sure that the product allow for this yet. Any ideas?Thanks!!

In this thread, it was advised that you can create a default branch through the Automation app for all users that sign up.We have users generate via SSO by clicking a button. I would like anyone who clicks the SSO button to be assigned to a branch called “Employees” under the Root branch. How can this happen?I feel like I’m missing something obvious, but I can’t find a “when user is created” rule here! Thank you for help in advance!

Is there a way to audit Groups we’ve created in The Learning Hub and identify Groups that are not being used in enrollment rules? We’ve been modifying our enrollment rules and creating Groups as we’ve learned more about our organization’s training needs and how the LMS works, and I suspect we have a number of Groups that are no longer needed. 

Is it possible to have one catalog or category of courses visible to Power Users so they can enroll other users, but not edit the courses.  But still give them access to edit courses in other catalogs.Our use case is that we have some shared courses that we don’t want everyone to edit, but need to have the Power Users assign out to people.  However, the Power Users should still be able to create an edit courses in their personal catalogs.It doesn’t seem like this is possible, but curious if anyone has any workarounds that might help.

Hello, I have several Learning Plans that are each made up of 20+ courses. When a Leaner enrolls in the Learning Plan, they are automatically enrolled in each of the courses.I understand this is expected behavior, but for larger Learning Plans, it places a perceived load on the new Learner: they see that they have 20 not-started courses (all the courses in the LP).Has anyone found a way to manage the Learner’s view so that they are not overwhelmed with “20 courses not started” and instead, only see that they are assigned to the Learning Plan itself? Is there a widget that supports this?  Thanks,Ryan 

I am attempting to modify a Power User’s Assigned Resources by unassigning the “All in visible catalogs” wildcard from the Courses and learning plans resource type. Based on the API explorer, the closest endpoint I could find was Unassign Courses, Learning Plans, Categories from Power User Assignments. However, when I attempt to use this endpoint’s “all” feature to remove the assignment, I get the error in the response below.Is there a different way to unassign the ALL_COURSE_LP_IN_CATALOG wildcard from a Power User?I need to find a way to remove this resource assignment from users to whom it no longer applies, without demoting the Level to User. Hello, I am struggling with a course/training material issue and could use some help!We migrated external vendor courses into our system mid-2024 and imported prior completion records (through migration date) with those courses.For example:I created course 0221, loaded the SCORM file as a training material, so course was live in our LMS Emily previously completed the course in the other vendor’s training portal on 4/1/2024 prior to creating the course in our LMS I imported previous completion records to reflect that Emily completed the course on 4/1/2024 When Emily logs into the LMS and restarts the course / completes the training material again, the course completion date does not changeThis is causing reporting issues because reports can show strange records such as:Course completion date - 04/01/2024Training material last completion date - 01/15/2025 

Does anyone know if there is a way to force admins to fill out the Average Time field when creating a course in Docebo? I know for additional fields and things like Course Title admins have to fill this out, would like to also make the average time field mandatory but I haven’t found any options for this in advanced settings or anywhere.
