We're looking at creating about 400 3-5 minute videos this year.  Our current process is to record ourselves talking over a PowerPoint for the lesson videos.  Instead, I'm thinking of using WellSaidLabs text-to-voice or Descript Overdub with a trained voice that can speak the scripts to an audio file.  Then drop the correlating audio file onto each slide and export it to video.  Done. Modifying the lesson in the future will be as easy as editing the PowerPoint or dropping in a new audio file. There's some resistance to using an AI voice.  Do any of you have experience with AI text-to-speech that sounds realistic?  What about using Descript Overdub?  Videos I've seen where people have trained it with their voice sound impressive.  I want to focus on writing good content and automating the production part as much as possible.  Do you have any tips or ideas to help make this happen? Thanks!

Hey all! I want to share an experience with you that came as a result of shared information in this community!  A while back there was a post about homepage layouts and @Salvo posted a video of his home page and spoke about a program that he uses called Comslider!I was blown away by how beautiful, engaging and inviting his platform was but doubtful I could accomplish the same (I have no programming/marketing experience...or natural ability, plus my budget is small). Anyway, I decided to look into the program he mentioned (www.comslider.com). I used their free trial to create a new and interactive slider for our Supervisors Home Page. GUYS! It was so easy! I used free images on Canva to create the background for the slides and customized a Black Friday Template with my own platform content and seriously in less than 20 min I had a fully functional slider! We have a survey (course evaluation) at the end of each course. This evaluation is required and it is the end object marker for users to receive their certificate. Pulling the evaluation report for all of our courses is very cumbersome. Right now, I pull them all quarterly because it takes so long to complete but I’d like to do it monthly.I do not know that there is another way around going to each course and pulling the training material report but I thought here would be a great place to find out. What do you guys do?We do not want to use survey monkey or any other outside source at this time. We are looking into Learning Impact but right now that’s not an option either. I’m open to hearing how you all use those though. It may plead my case for going that direction moving forward.Thank you!

Hello everyone! I work for an energy utility and we will be transitioning to Docebo in a couple months. We are looking for folks that may be interested in sharing their experience transitioning into Docebo and sharing some general Do’s and Dont’s, and perhaps demoing how they have setup Docebo for their company. I am seeking the communities input on the following scenario. I am open to your thoughts, suggestions, best practice considerations, or other helpful ideas.We recently assigned a course with two training materials. The 1st item was a SCORM package created in iSpring, and the 2nd came in the form of a Docebo test. We assigned the course to employees with a course limitation of three attempts (Advanced Settings > Details > Maximum Number of Attempts). As soon as we enrolled employees, reports came in that some had failed the quiz three times and were locked out. While I know that I can reset the progress for the quiz, I discovered that doing so appears to wipe out their previous attempt history and their item responses. We are hoping to hold on to the latter as we need to review and provide future education based on specific response trends that we have seen.How have you handled building tests with a cap on the number of attempts?  Is there a way to save their historical data as pa

Hello community,I was wondering if anyone would be willing to school me on the utility of an LRS vs an LMS and how, if I identified a value add, I could go about incorporating and LRS into Docebo. My hope is that I can license out my CBTs to external groups that they then post on their own internal LMS. However, this information is somehow communicated to my LMS (Docebo) with very limited interaction points. If what I am saying sounds confusing, that is because I am a behavior analyst by trade and new to this world. Any help would be appreciated!  Oh, and I am not looking to buy another integration at the moment. I am looking to understand the process to make an informed decision. Thanks in advance, Seth 

Hi! We launched our LMS this Spring and have been running some monthly contests and drawing winners from participants to receive prizes since to encourage use and exploration of the system. I thought I’d see if others have some ideas on different aspects contests could be run using.So far, we did a contest in which users had to complete one elective course to be eligible for the drawing.We also did a “scavenger hunt” type activity where users had to answer questions and navigate through the system. Questions included things like “what search results do you get when you search for _____?”. I had users download a document with the questions and then upload it has an assignment, so they also got exposed to how that works in Docebo. When I draw the winners, I will verify that the winners completed the assignment, though answers are variable, just to be sure they did the leg work. I was planning to run a contest next based around the skills center, asking users to share some content, but un

Our training team is considering adjusting video settings from “learners can move backwards and forwards after completing the course or lesson” to “learners can move backwards or forwards.” We plan to keep “users can change the playback speed.” Our concern is by changing these settings, learners can essentially move through a video without watching any of it and the lesson would be considered “complete.” We conducted a month long test to see if a change in settings would change the median time in a course and the time hardly altered which was interesting! We would like for our learners to have the ability to go backwards and relisten/rewatch training material for increased accessibility while still ensuring learners take the appropriate time to watch training in its entirety.  Questions for the community:What video settings do you currently have in place? Hello Community :) I see that there have been several conversations apropos of translations, although I though to reopene this topic, because as we know, technology is rushing forward. :) My challenge: we create courses in RISE and translate them into 28 languages. We are currently using agency. We are satisfied with the quality, unfortunately it costs a lot of time and $$$. My question is: how do you translate your courses? I'm looking for Best Practice/trix/hints; maybe there are some novelties on the market on this topic? Thanks in advance! 

So that we can improve the global search and minimise the duplications a user is seeing when searching (course and learning material appearing) we are contemplating renaming our learning material to a more generic name - ie eLearning, Video etc.Can I ask if anyone else has done this and if there have been any issues with taking this approach?

We had a case where we are deprecating an old learning plan, but wanted to give those who had completed it credit on the new learning plan that it is being replaced by.  Running a report generated 137 users, who then needed to be enrolled and marked complete for the 6 courses in the new learning plan.  Calculating the time I would need in order to manually enroll and mark complete 137 on each course....I knew there had to be a better way.  So for the first time today, I dipped my toe into the Docebo API portal. Did I have to ask one of my very fine and experienced team members for syntax help - yes. Did I manage to successfully record the training completions via API calls - also yes! I'm feeling very accomplished today and very thankful for the API portal that saved me untold hours of data entry to complete this task. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hey everyone, I am both brand new to Docebo and using an LMS. I am a behavior analyst by trade, so this is definitely not my area of specialty. I am still going through the onboarding process, but I wanted to get folks thoughts on something. Keep in mind that my use case is probably odd because I am not confined to my organization. My program trains others across the world and nation on crisis management strategies. We either train people as user or trainers. For trainers we would like to set them up as power users to use docebo to locally manage their own unique courses and records. Our thought was to create a landing page and menu for all new users to enroll. After which they can either enroll in one of my teams scheduled classes or navigate to their organization’s page and menu. Do you offer a free trial to other businesses (B2B)? Hi, I've come across this on the idea's portal (LMS-I-4213) and from reading what this person has I put I think this could possibly be why some of learners do not register as complete and are in progress or like they've never touched a SCORM course.This is the post...Check (and a warning) if the user's browser has access to the CDNWe're using lots of SCORM modules in our courses, and we observer many issues with lessons not being marked as completed or people having issues accessing some of the learning content.Investigating the issue, we have discovered that in many cases this is related to the learner's browser or firewall blocking access to some of the assets or XHR calls that are send to other domains.  And in Docebo, all SCORM packages are served from a third-part domain (dcbstatic.com). Does anyone have any ideas on what we can do or what we can advise learners so we can limit the impact for them and save on admin time? Thanks,Ant

Seems like Articulate keeps trying to make its way into the learning management business with the announcement of another new product, Reach 360.My only note to early adopters? This may/may not be a good sign for Articulate in the LMS domain. Consider that they also have Rise.com as a product.Now that happens to align with the other wildly popular mid-level rapid development elearning product - Adobe has had Captivate Prime for years now. I have heard positive things about both Rise.com and Captivate Prime? But both are young in the LMS category.What I find intriguing is the approach of the ad campaign - let our new tool compliment your learning management system.Anywho - I am not affiliated with these companies in anyway. I have been a consumer of both tools that support making great elearning come to life. I figure get a discussion brewin.

We are getting feedback that a question is harder than expected. We take that as a reason to improve and we need to refactor/rethink out our instructions.For folks that play the SCORM game - is there a sample text that you use with an image hotspot interaction? Any additions would be appreciated. 

We have a new ticketing system that has some limitations on the fields that it can accept, but we might be able to make work. I’m worried that people might not be able to follow the logic, however. There’s also the idea of linking to a Qualtrics survey, but then how to tie it to the ticket?We need to collect all of the relevant information necessary to create an ILT or Course (with all relevant training material) while not overwhelming the submitter. Right now we are using a word doc, which doesn’t make for great tracking.How is everyone doing this?  

Hi All! I was wondering whether anyone in the community is working with delivering training in their manufacturing and/or distribution site at all? We are BRC audited which is throwing up a lot of nuances in the design of the new processes as we map them over to Docebo. We are currently all paper and excel based so it is a very big jump! Is anyone else BRC audited? How are you tackling this kind of training?Laura

Few employees new to Training as a concept.  Now my concern is: We are about to launch our Docebo LMS this week, we don't have any licensed authoring tool or any apps to create e-learning.I have a few PowerPoint presentations Which I would like to upload on the LMS after the launch, I want to add voice over using an app which has various accents (considering we have employees from various locations). Also, the files should be compatible with Docebo.Looking for your suggestions for free tools that I can use for same, also want them to be user friendly for our SMEs who aren't that tech savvy.ThanksAmi   

Curious to know which method you use to add videos to your platform, and what you find the advantages/disadvantages to be in user experience and reporting. We currently upload all of our videos, but are looking to migrate all of that to Vimeo so that we can add chapter markers like ‘skip intro’, or add chapters for any videos longer than 3-5 min.

Hey! We are looking at launching a contest for our risk & compliance coursework. I haven’t used gamification outside of testing** Our Compliance team would love it if we could have leaderboards like highest # of courses completed by a specific branch, rather than a user. In the below diagram, we’d love to have a contest where currently we’d track top # of completions by division. Under each division, we’d have a winning office that gets some party or swag.
