It takes so long to start a background job for a report I forget what report I chose!

Hey!Reporting is getting really frustrating. The point of background jobs is to offload the work to the backend so the UI doesn’t get hung up. So why am now I stuck waiting nearly a minute or more in some cases waiting for a modal popup to go away for the report I want to be added to the queue?There’s no indicator of what report ran other than me going to the background job screen once it finally goes away. Even the dialog that says a background job was created doesn't say the name of the report when I tab back after waiting.I have to run several reports in the morning to check progress. Yeah, I could automate, but I have people completing progress all the time (We have people working in all time zones), so it would be out-of-date if I used the one run earlier and I still have to login to the system to get them. It’s still a bit of a faff either way.I wish I could just check all the reports I want and set them to export to CSV.And the background jobs screen doesn’t give me much confide

EXCEPT Rules for Notifications

We need a way to notify users when they’re enrolled in a learning plan, but I also need to exclude specific groups from receiving these notifications. Ideally, I’d like to set up a rule for group creation that allows for exclusions, like adding everyone except users with a specific domain (e.g., *@example.com). I haven’t seen this capability in the system so far, but maybe I’ve missed something. Do you have any ideas on how to achieve this?

Warning dialog box to pop-up when the user accidentally deletes a thumbnail

When you go edit training material, under “Upload your own thumbnail”, at that point where the user may accidentally click "x" on the image, before that gets deleted from the system, wouldn't it make sense to have a dialog box that would ask the user "Are you sure that you want to permanently delete this image?" for example? Especially when there are multiple developers accessing the same platform and that image is being used in numerous courses

Archive external training activity records

@alberto.pegoraro I’ve read your multiple course completions post and I wonder if you have plans to incorporate external training activities in your recertification process? It would be great to be able to archive external training records where the record has been renewed? We use the External Training app to hold the training certificates we receive from our external providers, these courses are renewed also but rather than delete the old record we’d like to keep it for historical reference. Much like what you are doing for e-Learning and ILT enrolments it would be great to be able to archive old external training records.

Training Material Loads Slowly

I find that SCORM files take a long time  (1 to 4 seconds) to open in Docebo. This results in an unpleasant user experience. The SCORM files are small microlessons, so I do not think the slow load time is related to file size. Does anyone else experience this? If so, have you found anyways to make the load time quicker?

Course Description Always On

Would love to have a setting that will automatically display the course description on all courses. There shouldn’t be a need to add that widget for every single course.

Courses in a catalog

Why is it necessary to go thru an API to find a list of courses in a catalog?. Been on help chat for over an hour and cannot get it to work. Just want to download a list of courses in a specific catalog in our platform to see what I need to add/delete instead of scrolling through page after page. Suggestions welcome. TY!

Wording of Automation e-mails "Completed successfully, with errors"

Hi, I find the wording of the e-mails from the Automation app to be a bit misleading, especially when there were errors in the Background Job. We run an overnight import of user details from our HR system, and if there are any errors in the import (usually a branch code that doesn’t exist) the e-mail subject says “The background job has been completed successfully”. I find this a bit misleading, especially where the body will say ‘Completed successfully, with errors’. If there are errors, then it can’t really be called a success. I’d only count a job as successful if it ran with 0 (no) errors at all. Could the wording of the subject line be changed from “The background job has been completed successfully” to “The background job has been completed with errors”? This would greatly help me when reviewing the import e-mails the following morning as I can see at a glance whether there were errors or not without having to open each message manually (I should note that we run a number of back

Requested Improvements for External Training

Hi, First, if this has been addressed could someone please point me to the thread? I could not find anything on the issue. There are a few functions with external training that could be added or improved upon to make this more usable:Notification of completed csv uploads Notification of errors associated with failed uploads Align formatting conventions with the other docebo uploads I uploaded a batch of training records 4 times because there’s no notification whatsoever whether the action succeeded or not, and since often times I’ve failed due to some kind of formatting error, I continued to make attempts. It turns out external training accepts mm/dd/yyyy whereas csv creation of sessions and events requires dd/mm/yyyy ability to bulk delete Because now I have 3 duplicate entries to delete across 150 training records ability to csv upload custom fields because even though I can upload the rest of the data, now I have to enter validation criteria for each record, anyway (a card ID number

Custom Reports - Saving "my reports"

Our team runs across a number of different parts of the business, and consists of a variety of Power Users.I would very much like to have the ability tocreate and save “My Reports” that are unique to me, and not visible by either Power Users OR Superadmins have a repository/file structure for the reports to easily sort and manage them in the system

Retraining App - Wants/Updates!

There are several items we’d love to be able to do with the retraining app that I’d love to get on the radar. Alternate which courses are available year over year inside one retraining. (ex: I assign annual retraining for Workplace harassment, 1 year is a short refresher, 2nd round they get the whole 2-hour compliance, 3rd year back to short refresh) Have a course trigger a retraining, but not be associated with the continued retraining. (ex: you take Skills 101, which assigns your the Skills Retraining - inside you’re taking Skills 101 refresher, not the skills 101 course which assigned it to you) Lock the “renew now” until a specific date/time before deadline. To prevent scope creep and keep people in cohorts. (Renew date is 9/30 - you can’t click renew until 9/1) Choose your own adventure renew - where we have the ability to link multiple options inside the renewal, and they need to complete 2 of 5 to be considered complete.  Have the “cannot take previous course” function timebound

Update the 'Twitter' share icon

When you try to share a course you’ve added to the Docebo platform it is still showing ‘X’ as ‘Twitter’ with the wording a logo.Can this be updated to represent the platform as ‘X’ please??

Assign skills to selected users as by default skills

In our case, we want to by default assign some skills to selected users, so that they don’t need to select skills one by one when they first time login.It will save time for learners and may it easy.ZB

Multi-select option for user additional field type

It would be amazing to add another type of user additional field to allow a user to select multiple options from a drop-down menu. We are currently using the drop down additional field type to require users to identify their role. Some users hold multiple roles, and we’d like to capture the different combinations they hold. For now I have included a “Multiple Roles” option that a user can select as a workaround.

Learning Plan notification to include name of new courses added

We have created a Learning Plan that is linked to a certification exam. Courses to the learning plan are added one at a time. We would like that when a new course is added to a learning plan that the email notification that goes to the learner who is enrolled in the LP include the name of the new course that was added to the LP as well as a direct link to the new course or LP. Right now the message is pretty generic saying that a new course has been added and a link that goes to Docebo but not to the LP or course specifically.

VIRTUAL COACH DEPRECATION - AI AND NEXT STEPS?

With Virtual Coach (VC) deprecation, there were talks about “accelerating development and deployment of features better suited for the outcomes” for customers. Do we have a timeline as to when we will have an updated version of the VC? And if not VC, will there be something to take its place in terms of a Chatbot in the near future?

Manager Approval for Courses: Minimum PowerShell Access and Resources needed

We want to define courses that are configured with self-enrollment allowed with Approval.  We want the employee’s manager to have to approve their employee’s enrollment in such classes.  We know the manager has to be a power user.  But I’m unsure exactly which permissions and which resources need assigned.  We need to apply the minimum permissions needed. We’ve created a page with the task list widget with “Course enrollment approvals” turned on, and added this page to the manager’s menu so they could see what users are waiting for approval for enrollment. We do have a group matching the manager’s direct reports  assigned as a resource.  What specific permissions need granted in the profile assigned to the Power User manager?  And what resources must be assigned?  Between resources and permissions there’s so many options and I’ve not yet hit on a combination that allows the manager to approve.  Has someone else achieved this and can advise?

Docebo Please stop changing field names

Partial rant….I have to believe I am not the only one impacted!We have automation setup to pull daily reports into PowerBI.  Whenever Docebo changes a field name, even the case of a character from upper case to lower case, this causes an error that then requires modification within PowerBI to match the updated field name. Yesterdays output(2/15/2024):  Newest report output (2/16/2024): The change in character case throws the errors.You can see the inconsistency in nomenclature, where the majority have all words upper case, but some have only the first letter of the field:PLEASE stop changing field names once introduced into the live platform, and remain consistent in nomenclature!!!

How to view ratings on courses at a power user/super admin level?

Hi all, just wondering if there is a way to view ratings from individual delegates on a course? I’ve enabled star ratings and comments however I can’t seem to find these ratings and comments anywhere on the course.

Certifications and Retraining on Mobile

Good day.In chat this morning with Megan, we learned that the Certifications and Retraining functionality is not available on the mobile app, which is very disappointing as we are in the process of rolling out the app to employees that will not be able to complete their Certifications and Retraining on their mobile device.  Many of our courses have a yearly certifications and Retraining required and not having this functionality on the app. hinders what our employees can do.  I did chat with Megan, chat recap #778985

Captions obscured by new course player bar

Howdy all!  Has anyone else noticed the new course player bar obscures captions? In the current player, the captions appear neatly and visibly above the course player bar. Not so with the new incoming course player bar.The issue seems to be the hover settings for the bar are very sensitive, so the slightest move of mouse/cursor brings up the bar, obscuring captions. This is not good UX for our customers who certainly like to move their cursors around during videos (!)Any workaround/suggestions to improve this? Reducing the bar opacity via CSS perhaps?

New Course Player Feedback - Change Session Enrollment: Show times

Not sure if this belongs here, but we recently setup an ILT course with 5 sessions (one event per session). Learners only have to attend one session/event. We have found that after the initial enrollment is complete, if they need to change sessions, the popup only shows the date and the “time zone math” -- not the time of the session/event. I confirmed this with support and the work arounds are to either force unenrollment and re-enrollment, which honestly I think would cause more confusion, or I came up with just adding the times to the name of the session. This is ok, but still requires the learner to do time zone math. Any other ideas? Pic # 1 -- no session/event times showing Pic #2 -- I added the times manually to the name of the session
